blech .. i used to live in philly and then minnesota ... now a week after i get to phoenix they decide to televise the game in those places and not here .... this angers me i just want to see a marlins game this year .. just 1 .. is that too much to ask?!!?

i didn't think it was that much of an adventure .. there were some plot twists ... maybe if the actual tracking of the pearl led to drama and then they ended with a crescendo when they finally caught it i could of gone for the extra time .. run the seperate stories (british boat, pearl and capt. jacks crew) and let them all collide in the end ... but is seems like they could of finished it and then just kept adding on to tie up this or that jmo of course

l-o-n-g this movie was longer than it needed to be depp did very well in this movie .. only thing is that the herky jerky motion is very similar to his fear and loathing type character ... made me feel like i was drinking by the end of watching it for 2+hours overall a pretty good movie .. definitely liked it better than the matrix (which all 3 people i went with fell asleep during) i'm not against comedic relief, but the action never hit that high point where it was warranted the sword fights were pretty cool ... the one at the beginning with depp and orlando was very well done ... as was the finally a lot of the fighting was for show as the dark pirates couldn't die i think movie would of been really good if they shaved 40 minutes off it would recommend it over some of the other crap out there now i went in with negative expectations and walked away happy with it

as the resident seahawks fan booty is now with the browns (unless he gets released) ... the hawks drafted him and then put him on waivers in an effort to put him on the practice squad .. they had the browns in week 1 that year so the browns decided to snag him off waivers ...... wow, i didn't know lynch spent time in elmira ... went to quite a few pios games throughout the years

I can only really comment on the ones i've been to, and of that list it would be the vet and the metrodome ... the only thing the vet has over the dome is that it's outside (which is important to me) however sightlines, concessions, actual appearance and shape of the building, seat comfort, fans, etc all lean toward the dome over the vet as far as aesthetics and from what i've seen on TV both olympic and trop look like dumps, although i hear the sightlines in the trop aren't that bad

this is a baker quote after last nights game "You can't go get drunk every time you have a bad game, or you'd be drunk all the time," Cubs manager Dusty Baker said. "So these are the games where you sit around, you think about it ... and try not to take it home to your wife and family. They know how you feel. "I'll find something to do for the next hour or so, so I can go home and at least be decent company." i think poor dusty is just tired of losing ... hopefully the fish continue to add to his troubles this afternoon

he's already been paid big money ... as a sonic fan this saddens me though ... how can you play for the lakers?!!? ... this guy has been the face of that team for most of the past decade and he goes to the hated lakers ... it's almost too much .... i think i may gag the first time i see him in purple ugh ........ the lakers ....... blech

are you joking?!?! ......... malik is loved by his teamates ... not the brightest guy to ever come around the block, but a geniunely good guy ... one of the nicer people i've met when it comes to fame ... his teamates loved him in college and in SA ... all he does is go in and bust his butt ... teamates usually don't hate the hardworking guy, unless they feel he is showing them up ... then it is more of a reflection on them ... malik is far from a bad apple as for this trade i think it's great for the wolves .. peeler is old junk, he looked terrible toward the end of the season and playoffs .. not only was his shot off, but he made some very dumb decisions with the ball cassell is kind of a loose cannon and has had some run ins with teamates that are a little more documented than anything you can think to dream up with malik ... if he can get his shots within the offense it should work .. but him and wally both have a tendency to force, although cassell never appears afraid to shoot like wally does at times i think this is a good rising team ... definite a contender in the playoffs and they could make some noise

I checked TBS' schedule for the season and didn't see a single marlins/braves matchup on it ... which blows when you are an out of towner and usually rely on those games to see the team ... and since i no longer live in philly i didn't get to see the string of games against the phils ... my only salvation is espn, so here's hoping that a willis/clement matchup will come off on national tv

Rob Neyer's List via ESPN mainly with the pitching ... i don't like alex fernandez on there .. he did little with the team and killed them with his contract and attitude .... i'd rather have a charlie hough or livan hernandez .. they are more marlins to me ... even a guy like burnett over him ... can't argue with nen to close i also would of liked to see conine switched to first and floyd put in the OF

I was looking at the book I use and they have the marlins +/- for the season at 74.5 As a comparison the expos are coming in at 75.5 and the pirates and rockies at 73.5. I know that i'm just a fan of the team and a bit biased, but i think that 78-85 is a reasonable spread for victories What do you all think about that 74.5 # and how many do you think the marlins can win all told? What concerns me is the potential for a late season slide if the team falls out of the race, gets rid of some vets and the potential for arm trouble.
