July 2, 200322 yr TBS will NOT be showing tonight's game with Dontrelle... They have not shown any of the Florida games versus the Braves all week...How lame is that? They usually show at least 1 or 2 games of each series the Braves play in... I'm hoping ESPN2 plays it instead...
July 2, 200322 yr Unfortunately we start at 6:05 PM so I doubt ESPN will cover the game except for the break in updates. Marlins/Braves games are almost always comeptitive so why they didn't plan to show this series at all is beyond me.
July 2, 200322 yr Since TBS is over-the-air WTBS-TV 17 in Atlanta it cannot broadcast any Braves games on Wednesdays due to the ESPN contract. Fox Sports Net Florida will air the game in Florida. If outside of Florida, check out http://www.MLB.tv , but beware of blackouts. For more info call thier hotline phone number (it's on the webpage) You can watch today's game for $2.95 if it isn't blackout.
July 2, 200322 yr Author I usually have off Wednesdays but because of summer and vacations, I have to work tonite (with no tv) and I wanted to tape it to watch later

Exactly..I think Atlanta knew it was gonna get its butt kicked in 2 nights straight and didnt want to be embarrassed on network tv...Then they feared some Kid would mosey into town and sweep 'em... :mischief2

July 2, 200322 yr I checked TBS' schedule for the season and didn't see a single marlins/braves matchup on it ... which blows when you are an out of towner and usually rely on those games to see the team ... and since i no longer live in philly i didn't get to see the string of games against the phils ... my only salvation is espn, so here's hoping that a willis/clement matchup will come off on national tv

I've noticed on MLB tv that it runs great for about 15 minutes then it gets really choppy on the video stream. The audio always stays constant but the video really sucks after awhile. I have a cable modem so I don't think its my comp but i dont know. I tried it at the beginning of the year when it was free, has it gotten better? Anyone tried it lately?
July 2, 200322 yr Living in NY, I depend on TBS and MSG to show me Marlins games against the Braves and Mets respectively. I was surprised and disappointed to see that the Marlins aren't on TBS against the Braves this series.
July 2, 200322 yr Since TBS lost its status as a superstation, it is only allowed to show something like 80-90 Braves games a year. So, TBS had to be selective about which games to air and which would have the most interest outside of Atlanta. Since the Marlins didnt have much national interest before the season began, TBS chose not to show them and they put these games on their regional cable channels. I agree they should have at least put a couple, but thats the reason.

July 2, 200322 yr Turner South is regional channel found in Braves territory only. You would need Extra Innings via DirecTV or Cable inDemand and live outside of Florida in order to watch Turner South games on those packages that show Marlins games.
July 2, 200322 yr Nope, don't even get WGN here! The town over from me does, or at least, it used to.
July 2, 200322 yr TBS never broadcasts Wednesday games. Those games are on FSN in the ATL area. I would expect them to broadcast at least one of our games, but no. :banghead :banghead :banghead
