Ugliest Stadiums in the League

Featured Replies

Easily the Metro Dome... MUCH worse than Pro Player or the Vet...

Tropicana actually isn't that bad at all...

Tropicana is a peice of garbage.....But i will allways love the pro...its home to the marlins and my beloved DOLPHINS!!!!

Tropicana really isn't that bad...

Sit in the field level section DIRECTLY behind home plate and you'll see what I mean. Those are the best seats EVER.

Literally, the SEATS themselves are amazing.

Olympic Stadium is by far the worst MLB stadium. It's dirty, it's dingy, and the food really stinks. I didn't know that hot dogs in Quebec are served with cole slaw on the dog instead of relish :confused

Tropicana Field (it's neither tropical or a field) is also a dump.

What do these two places have in common? They're both indoor concrete cavernous stadiums that have the life blood sucked out of them. Baseball is meant to be played outdoors!

people who hate the trop are people being ignorant and havent gone. yes, its not great, but its fun, lively, good stores, good food, great ushers, nice and cold, and if u can tell me any other stadium that puts you closer to the game ill go there.

although i agree basewball is meant outdoors

I don't mind the Trop that much. Yes, baseball was meant to be played outdoors. But at least the Trop tried to get away from that disgusting astroturf with their fieldturf. Its softer, and plays more like grass than the Nextturf at the Vet or the traditional Astroturf still used in the Metrodome, Big O, or Skydome.

The catwalks need to go, but the place does have some atmosphere to it.

I would prefer another place for the Rays to play, but the Trop isn't the worst place I've seen a game.

The Vet: horrible fans, the turf was the worst in Baseball and the NFL for years before last year, and the new stuff from what i hear still isnt that good, i hate the Vet. and i cant stand the team

Olympic is horrible...that thing is Nasty. I Like Pro player but not too much. Another stadium that i reall dont like is tropicana.

I hate Pro Player...compared to almost everything else its trash :thumbdown

Pro Player trash?

LOL!!!! Actually its one of nicest stadium but not for baseball. Is not a great baseball stadaium but not the worst considering Tropicana and Olympia.

I can only really comment on the ones i've been to, and of that list it would be the vet and the metrodome ... the only thing the vet has over the dome is that it's outside (which is important to me)

however sightlines, concessions, actual appearance and shape of the building, seat comfort, fans, etc all lean toward the dome over the vet

as far as aesthetics and from what i've seen on TV both olympic and trop look like dumps, although i hear the sightlines in the trop aren't that bad

I have been to Pro Player, Tropicana, and the Vet. The Vet is horrible. I voted for it. Tropicana is actually pretty nice, and Pro Player is one of if not the best football converted baseball stadium around. The only problem with it is the seats aren't angled toward the field for a better view.

All The Stadiums on this list sucks, Plain and Simple, The Florida fans cant ry to debate it all they want but The Pro Sucks, so does every other stadium in, The N.L. East except for Turner.

The Vet is outside of course so that keeps it from being last, The Concessions suck but you are allowed to bring your own food in which is a plus. The Turf which I recently got to go on is the same stuff on synthetic christmas trees. Well not really but it looks like it. The Track is rubber!

All Cookie Cutter Stadiums suck plain and simple so please don't give me this crap that The Pro is great because if that's the case then The Vet ROCKS!

Expo are you somehow saying that Olympic is a good stadium? I've been in it and I just hated it! It's dirty of course and I want to know how it even got The Good Olympic name, The Stadium just sucks.

Shea is the best stadium on that list of course I've never been to Trop which I bet is nice and I've heard it's good so I can't smash it.

so please don't give me this crap that The Pro is great because if that's the case then The Vet ROCKS!

You can't even debate Pro Player and the Vet. Pro Player is MUCH better than the vet. They at least try to make it look somehwhat like a baseball stadium with the scoreboard in LF and the Power Alley above it, not to mention have REAL GRASS. It was also built much earlier than the Vet and is slightly renovated and updated to new technology very often, mostly due to the fact the Super Bowl is hosted there. Don't give me this the Vet is better than Pro Player, because it's not even close.

:banghead

I was being sarcastic, You can't sense it can you?

I already said The Vet sucked and I'm going to try to be there when they blow it up.

How many of you have actually seen more than one stadium?...

tough to make comments on stadiums you have never seen, no?

I lived in Montreal for six months, and in Vermont for three years and attended at least 10 Expos games. I speak from experience that Olympic Stadium is a very unattractive stadium. Just the way sounds ricochet all over the concrete beams and the antiseptic look of astroturf makes it a "dump". The only good thing that park had (at least from 1994 to 1997) was the really cute ushers (those girls in the red blazers) that would keep people from going to the "blue" seats. Some of those girls were beautiful (Montreal has BEAUTIFUL WOMEN :w00t :w00t :w00t ).

I've been to Tropicana Field (neither Tropical, nor a field). I've also seen games at Turner Field (aesthetically pleasing, but nothing to write home about), Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium (the best you can say about it is that it's gone!), Fenway (sure it's old and rickety, but it's AMAZING) and Wrigley Field (need I say more?). I think I'm qualified to discuss those stadiums that I mentioned!

You need to put a face, like so ( :p ) and I can tell...

I never know with you, Rune... :lol

I havent been to Olympia but in TV it looks horrible. Also that turn messes up the players knees. No one likes to play there...

No. I know the Big Owe sucks big time, I was just wondering if the people who replied to the thread had seen some of the stadiums they were bashing.
