1. Gosh Tonyi, you don't sound like a mature person to me... Are you sure you are as "old" as you say you are? You sound like RippyO or Sorianofan most of the time, using personal attacks and cheap shots... :mischief2 I wonder if you are not just someone else pretending to be the "know it all".... 461755 Well gosh that's constructive. Thank goodness you're too good to resort to personal attacks. Oh wait, you just did! I am officially cross-eyed now.

Jason Schmidt

His farts also smell like raspberries.
3. Ha ha they suck so much
4. For the Death Penalty? Against gay marriage? "For" less government? "For" lower middle-class tax cuts? Those aren't Conservative positions, those are p***y positions. Bill Clinton and the rest of the DLC held many of the same "positions". So who gives a whit? Just further proves that Edwards is shallow. What's next, he's gonna come out against child molestation? Go John Go!
5. Dammit, this never would happen if only we could bring back the guillotine. Meehan? Sounds French. I would email him and suggest the guillotine.
6. MRI shows no ligament tear or anything bad 460822 damn :plain 460823 a**hole
7. hey man, im a Mets fan and i take care of myself. but im here to talk baseball, not how often i moisturize, what kind of hair product i use, or what the best kind of tanning oil is. hahaha 450686 Just like Mike Piazza.
8. I heart RippyO 447712 Forget it, dude. I don't swing that way. Well sometimes for money, but that's completely off-topic and I don't want to talk about it.
9. 8 Yankees now! Vazquez in for Hudson. In the NL, Lo Duca subs for Casey. With all due respect, Trader Jack is a dumbass. Overbay deserves the spot.
10. If I had half a mind, I could make Fahrenheit 666 and state that Jesus was really in league with Satan. 447862 :lol :lol :lol 447870 Thank you. Thank you. I'll be here all week. But it is possible, you know! I'm just asking to exercise some critical thinking here. You don't just look at the "facts" as presented to you. You question the source, you question the relevance, you question the context. If they don't fit, you must acquit.
11. Sigh.....facts are not the entire picture. It's whether those facts WERE RELEVANT is the 90% that counts. Bush "knew" about 9/11 beforehand? Good luck proving that. The CIA may have dropped the ball, but to blame the President for not going full-steam on every intelligence report given every day (how many are even brought to his attention?) would require him to be omnipotent. And for those who think he's retarded, how close do you think he would get? And yes, it's a fact that Bush said "watch this drive". Terrific. What does that prove, and tell me you won't find another President who will make a quick segue after discussing something serious. Hell, FDR did it all the time. He was a man of many worlds. Bill Clinton was like that too, 'cept people called it "charm". WTF??? You see? Moore gets some facts wrong, but he's much more guilty of developing a piss poor argument using separate and unrelated instances of George Bush's actions. You go through years of video, digging up any image that reflects badly on a person, mash it together with some sad music, and you too can become Michael Moore. If I had half a mind, I could make Fahrenheit 666 and state that Jesus was really in league with Satan.
12. this is true, RippyO....and I don't think they should be neglected their rights as American citizens. I just dont think marryin another dude is a Constitutional right. I think marriage is a religious act, and it's sad that marriage is used for such things as tax breaks, and not for what it was meant for: a committment before God that you will love your wife/husband through thick and thin. I dont wanna make this into a religious rant, especially since it gives people the wrong idea that I'm some guy that wants to make the US Government a theocracy. 447675 And I support your belief, and agree that not everyone against gay marriage is a bigot or ignorant. Even though I am non-religious, I believe that organized religion has played a vital role in our country's foundation and well-being. See how easy that was, Bush-haters? Reasonable people can disagree.
13. it shouldnt be up to the federal government anyway. I guarantee 80+% does not wanna legalize gay marriage in its state. If they wanna do it in Mass., then let em do it. It shouldnt be legalized or banned by the President (who doesn't even have the Constitutional power to do so) or by Congress. 447660 You have a stronger argument there, but be warned that just because something is supported or opposed by 80% of the population doesn't mean it's right or wrong. Besides, I doubt a lot of Americans have any idea of what the "gay lifestyle" is really like, preferring to go by what they hear from voices like Jerry Falwell or Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Forgive me for sounding indignant, but gays are people too. Each one is different.
14. That all depends on if destroying the family is destroying society. If you allow gay marriage, where do you draw the line? If gay marriage is legal, then what about polygamy, or polymory. If two men can get married, then laws may be changed until 50 years later, there can be a marriage between 3 men, 7 women, and a dog. 446839 This is one of my big points...eventually 3 men will want to marry, or 2 women and a man, and "who is the government to tell them what love is?". 447071 I have never, never understood that canard. What is wrong with deeming marriage between 2 consenting adults, with the addendum that their genes be sufficiently mixed as not to produce freakish children (or grandchildren most likely, as 1st-generation incest kids don't usually possess abnormalities.) Merely extend the laws governing sex to marriage (but first getting rid of those dumb anti-sodomy laws in the South. The people want buttsex, dammit!) 447648 By doing that, you redefine marriage once, and it can be redefined again to be totally messed up eventually. That's why you draw the line where it already is. 447652 Oh puh-leeze. Sex laws were redefined, but I don't see bestiality and pedophilia being legalized anytime soon. I'm not a big "progressive", but I don't think we should abstain from making law solely from fear.

16. Happy Birthday George W. Bush I should remind everybody, the war on Iraq was authorized by the U.S. Congress, minimal research also locates "The Iraq Liberation Act of 1998" (Public Law 105? 338) stated that it should be the policy of the United States to support efforts to remove the regime headed by Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq and to promote the emergence of a democratic government to replace that regime; this law was signed by President Clinton. (Though this law did not authorize military force, it set US policy towards Iraq). 447604 Dammit, don't quote facts. You're disrespecting LC's opinion that way.
17. 1. Major League 2. The Rookie 3. The Sandlot 4. The Scout 5. Field of Dreams There are plenty of other good ones though, like Mr. Baseball and The Natural, Pride of the Yankees, etc. 441753 Mr. Baseball? Mr. BASEBALL? Why don't you just name Cobb and Babe also?
18. Dude, this is terrific news. Abreu gets in, and Matsui is actually having a better year than 2003. The Big Hurt got stiffed, but he's a White Sock so who gives a fart?
19. I am not wasting my time or energy with you. Believe what you want to believe. I really don't care what your opinion is, since you have little regard for mine. 445658 Taking your ball and going home?
20. without taking sides....tonyi has taken up some very interesting similarities b/t WWII and the "war" on Iraq (a "war" b/c we haven't declared war on Iraq). 445891 Well, one could argue that Hitler definitely had more resources towards taking over a bunch of other countries. Of course even then, the isolationists were out in force with their Chicken Little scenarios.
21. This is all Steinbrenner's fault. He is so focused on making the Yankees "America's Team" that he thought playing GBA during the stretch meant that the Yankees loved America more than the other teams. Now everyone else is afraid too look disrespectful of America. It's pathetic. I doubt these people in Sarasota were thrown out JUST for sitting down - we had heard of it, and a lawsuit would've been filed. But I think it's all right to stay in your seat. It doesn't mean you're against America, just over-sentimentalized bulls***.
