AJBurnett34
I heard it lol I was at the game, but my favorite thing is when everyone starts screming "Admin" to Chipper jones. Last year my friend called Chipper his real name which is "Admin" and he got mad and told him "You dont know me mothaf***a, dont call me Admin, you dont know me!" Guest Juanky
Yeah, there have been groups of younger people having " Hey *insert CF name here*! You SUCK!" chants every time there is a game. Every once in a while it is funny. Maybe isolated people doing different stuff is funny. There was a guy by my seats when we were playing the Phillies that would do a Tweetie sound and say "I thought I thought I saw a p***y cat" to Marlon Byrd. That was funny. But the chants get obnoxious after a while, especially when the Marlins are trying to bat. The baseball gods don't appreciate that. Were you sitting in front of the baseball team? rferry
:thumbup As long you aren't throwing beer at opposing players or threatening the lives of the opposition's fans I appreciate any attempt at giving the Marlins the home crowd advantage. Now if we only had bands and were willing to sing all game long like soccer fans.

bman8316
I was also in the Fish Tank so I heard the chants, it was pretty funny when he looked back. I also noticed during the pregame how they had the hillbilly music playing for the Braves, that was hillarious.
MiRi
The hillbilly music was HILARIOUS!! Whenever LaRoche went up to bat I was like, "Hey there's a roach on the field" and start singing "La Cucaracha". LOL My throat is killing me right now after all the cheering I did. Some obnoxious Braves fans were there and boy did they get quiet after the win. One of them even left early. :lol I am going again tomorrow. I hope it's a game as good as this one. GO MARLINS! GiambiNYY25Fan
I thought this was a pretty cool idea the Yankees fans had on opening day when they televised it on ESPN.... when the Yankees took the field... the entire right field bleachers or a part of the stadium would chant the players' names until they would recognize the fans... it was awesome, whether you are a Yanks fan or not, it's cool that your home team players acknowledge the fans.... maybe we should start chanting players names when they hit the field in the first inning... anyone think we should? Marlins93
That's funny actually because today I was thinking about how we say Cubs fans are so obnoxious and all and I was like wow thank god we have no fans like that down here... :confused I think it's no different here than in the "cheap seats" in other stadiums. Sure, a few people can be quite obnoxious, but overall I think Marlins fans are quite well-behaved and knowledgeable. Last night's crowd was outstanding except for a handful of people, the type you'd find anywhere.
Flying_Mollusk
Some people have to relax. They do it at every stadium just to rile the players up and be the 10th man. If it hurts the players feelings, then this isnt the game for them. Im sure its much worse in Philly and Boston and such. I went to see the fish in Wrigley and and sat next to the right field foul pole a few years back. Kevin Millar was great. He had the bleacher bums and the right field pole fans in the palm of his hands. They would try and taunt him and he would put his hands to his ears and move in circles. Then when he hit a home run he would ask them to speak louder. He didnt let them get to him. It was great.

Ashley
Omg, it was all in good fun... that doesn't mean we were "misbehaving"... I'm not gonna sit there quiet the whole time, i wanted to have fun. Like i said, i don't think the braves are a bad team at all, and i dont think they suck, it was just to get on their nerves and HAVE FUN!!! Doesn't mean we are not classy either. Just trying to give the Marlins a nice home advantage...
g8trz2003
i remember watching a Braves-Marlins game 2 or 3 years ago (it was AJ Burnett v. Greg Maddux, and they were throwback unis...we had the Miami Marlin unis) and a bunch of people (we only had like 12k at the game) including me starting chanting Gold Club when Andruw was up. I find (and found) that funny. As for Braves fans being asses for not giving brave fans balls....they dont HAVE to do anything. They are there to play the World Series champs, I don't lose any respect if a player doesn't acknowledge the crowd. And as for "hillbilly music", i know they play Dueling Banjos when the Braves lineup is announced. Dueling Banjos is a phenomenal song (form the movie Deliverance). And Cotton Eye Joe is cool to dance to. The funny thing is that Atlanta is about as hillbilly (or lackthereof) as Miami. It's Southern...but definitely not hillbilly.
