I am an avid fisherman, but I don't think it's a sport. Rather, like cheerleading, it's a competitive event. Thus, my vote goes to neither yes or no. :cool

i like to hunt and fish...but its not a sport.....well not in that sense....its definitely sporting....but not the same definition of the word. If that made any sense.

Now being from Wisconsin there are the 5 Pillars of Life up here...

 

1. Packers Football (blaze orange Packers jersey's included)

2. Beer, Bratwurst, and Cheese before the big Packers or Badgers game

3. Church

4. Family

5. Hunting & Fishing (blaze orange included as well)

 

I don't hunt. But I'm an avid Bass fisherman (I prefer Smallmouth Bass), and there is no doubt to me that Hunting & Fishing are not sports.

 

And Wisconsin is basically the Hunting and Fishing capital of the world and they require no physical skill what so ever. None.
