c/o of Baseball America

He is 6'5 210 lbs and was born August 20, 1979.... we acquired him in the 2002 rule V draft from Toronto...

A tall physical lefty, he has a plus fastball that gets on hitters late. He pitches at 93-94mph and touches 96. Thanks to some deception in his funky 3/4 delibery, hitters dont get many good looks against him. He lacks a second plus pitch, however. At times he commands his slider in the zone, but it acts more like a cutter. Despite being essentially a 1 1/2 pitch pitcher with shaky command, he has averaged better than a K per inning in his career. Like Manny Ramirez, he's a Dominican who came through the strong baseball program at New York's George Washington High. Gracesqui is durable, capable of working 3 straight days, and projects as a valuable situational reliever in the minors. He must improve his work ethic, and he rubs some of his teammates the wrong way with his nonchalant attitude.

I saw him pitch last year with Carolina he had some movement on his fastball. He went 3-3 with 2.48 ERA and 5 saves on what was the best team the Marlins had in the minors. This yr he's got 10 K's in 11 IP and a good ERA for a hitters league. He'll do until FOX makes it back.

I remember a left-handed rookie with control problems and a funky delivery that came up April last season...

Great way to start your major league career IMO

Great way to start your major league career IMO

i think i can agree to that

this kid was absolutely in shock, you guys see him high-fiving after the win, he was totally lost

Jack Mckeon is the man, how many other managers would have brought in a rookie with the game on the line. If he made one mistake pitch, than he would have cost his team the game but he came through and am looking foward to watching him develop with this team.

Oh yeah we need an Gracesqui avatar.

Wow, what a start for the young lefty. I was amazed to see Jack put him in....but Franklyn looked very good....and had a very nice slider to get the K.....and the S.

WTG :thumbup :thumbup

I bet the kid never expected the call and didn't even get a chance to think too much about the situation. Jack is the man :thumbup

Why waste the kid? Throw him in the fire! If he burns, he goes back down. If he comes out OK, we have a winner :thumbup

Can you imagine getting the call late yesterday finding out you are moving up the majors. That was probably shock enough. Get witht he team today. Warm up. Pitch with 1 out to go in the bottom of the ninth with the tying run on third. THis kid has guts.

anyone know what Frank has for pitches and speeds and stuff?

I dont know him, but from the game I see FB and Slider....dont know how fast he's throwing or if he has a change or sinker

our pen rulez Waine and Grazkasiij=kwety!!!

:lol

Mckeon has some big ones real big ones.

:pimp

"We'll test him," McKeon said of the rookie he calls Gracey. "We'll baptize him quick."
