Games dont get uglier than this...

Im surprised no one has mentioned a Jason Kendal Trade? I think this could become a real posibility later in the year if the struggles at catcher continue, but still need the bullpen help.

..."(Cordero) has not realized he has a glove on his left hand yet."

I mentioned this the other day.

Whenever he errs he looks at his glove (outfield or first base) the way Pedro Cerrano stared at his bat after missing a #2.

If memory serves we didn't see or read about him having glove problems in ST. All of a sudden he's Stonefingers. I wonder if its related to him being shopped.

Both Cordero and Easley (who we are paying virtually nothing) are showing themselves to be upgrades over Andy Fox and Todd Hollandsworth and not much more. Each has flashes of skill, a homer here, a great defensive play there, but on the whole they have played poorly enough to no longer be considered tradebait of any significance.

If the Marlins decide to make a move to stablize the pen it's going to have to be with prospects (and I include Nunez in that group) because, without trading a starter, no one on the bench is worth much. What would you give for a genuine Lenny Harris?

Beinfest brought in or traded for Neu, Howard, Nannini, Perisho, Murphy, Florie, that guy who was with us for about a day and a half, and so far, with the exception of Perisho, and school is still out on him, his look-sees and signings haven't panned out.

AJ coming back isn't going to help unless Pavano or Penny find their way to the pen. Oliver, at least the Oliver who's pitching right now is of no use in the pen. I honestly believe he'll work out what's wrong and fix it, but until then it's betterto lose one of every five starts to losing two or more a week because he couldn't hold a lead.

I have one more thing to say and I know it will be unwelcome by many.

Get freakin' Miguel Cabrera out of right field before he misplays one more ball there. We all thought this move would be easy for him, it obviously isn't. He looks so out of place there it's painful to watch.

I love the kid but he can't play right field. Conine can't do worse there than Miggy. Switch'em.

On days when Jack deems Choi shouldn't play, how about we send OMGNUNEZ to right, Cabs to left, and Conine to first. Anything but Cordero.

I just got back from the game, and ugly is the word.

I was surprised nobody commented on Cabrera's play. I hope he is getting all of his rookie mistakes out of the way early in the season. He ran us out of an inning on a bonehead move to take 3rd.

And while not apparent in the box score. He let the tieing run drop in front of him. It was a lazy fly that I was certain would be caught. Cabrera got a poor jump, and trotted over to watch the ball drop in front of him. Even after theh poor jump he could have at least dove for it. It was almost as if he expected Pierre to get it as he never really went for it.

So it counts as a single....but it cost Josh his win and gave Benitez his first blown save.

I feel real bad for Josh since he pitched such a great game. He just doesn't get the run support when he pitches.

Only 3 runs on 12 hits.....terrible run production.

And 3 of the Dodgers 4 runs were unearned.

We should have won this game by a margin of at least 6-2...and instead gave away another game.

I know what you mean but bad things happen when you keep playing musical chairs with baseball players.

If you're going to make a move you switch Cabs and Conine and tell Choi he's playing everyday, lefty, righty he's the guy. I think a big problem has been this showcasing of Cordero and Easley. Not only has it disrupted the makeup of the team, it's backfired because their value has diminished not enhanced.

I was out DJing and saw the lowlights on Baseball Tonight...Man, this Bad News Bears bullsh*t has to stop...I wondered why Choi wasn't in..The other day he was hitting around .291 with 9 HRs, why is he sitting out so f***ing much?..I don't know what Choi is hitting as of now but he had good numbers as of the other day...Let him hit, Cordero was washed up years ago after he left the Expos...Lets hope they get this losing streak out of their system now and pull further ahead of the Braves (who gained again tonight..it's like '97 so far, good start, jumped out to a good record, and then the Braves crept up and overtook the division and kept it...I want a division title this year...This team has the talent to do it provided the starters play consistently...i.e. Choi)

Mordey, Cordero, Ray, and Easley were all garbage tonight. There was absolutely no reason for any of these players to be in the game except for Easley. Luis really needed a rest especially after that big west coast road trip, he's got a lot of back problems and some things were bothering him.

Choi and Red should be starting every night unless they need a rest every once in a while in which it's fine for Cordero and Ray to start on a blue moon, but platooning them on regular basis is hurting this team. Cordero should never start in LF either, he is absolute garbage and was directly responsible for that grand slam against the Giants; balls that Cordero has to play off the wall are easily catchable by Niner and Nunez. If there is going to be any platooning in left, it should be between Niner and Nunez only with Niner starting regularly. Easley only starts when AGon or Luis needs a rest, so that isn't really a regular problem like it is with choi/cordero and castro/red,

We're just pathetic right now, if it's not our bullpen costing us a game by giving up 2 or 3 runs causing us to lose then it's our bench which commits numerous errors that directly impact the game and are directly responsible for giving up runs which cost us the game.

Tomorrow nights game should be good.

the problem is that Red cannot start every night

doesnt have the stamina

Red should start every night he is able.

He should at least be starting the majority of the time, more than Ramon.
