MVP of tonights game

Pavano, he pitched the best game of his Marlins career. He shut down a very very good offense. He deserved the W, not Matt "the vulture" Perisho.

Agree

1) Pavano

2) Pierre

3) Perisho

4) K-nitez

I wouldn't say the best by any stretch, but he was on his A gametonight. Gotta love when the number 3 and 4 starters go 16 innings giving up 4 runs. I agree Pavano is mvp of this game.

No doubt Perisho was clutch, and his 1-pitch double play ball got us out of a mess......

Pierre could be deserving.....clutch triple to tie the game and scored the winning run.

Props also to Alex Gonzalez for stellar defense that saved several runs.

But I have to give the MVP to Pavano who pitched 7 impressive innings against the best hitting team in the NL.

agreed 101%

but all in all ... every single one of those players contributed to what was a Top Notch game.

Pick any of the following:

1. Pavano for his excellent pitching performance

2. Alex and Miggy for their crucial defensive plays

3. Choi and Pierre for their timely batting

Pavano and Penny have been excellent this year and Benitez has been the best closer in baseball!

Not quite....i'll take Gagne or Smoltz ANY DAY over Benitez

Well, it wasn't the best game of his Marlins career ( did we forget his WS gem against Clemons?), but he's MVP hands down.

I agree that he and Brad have been our best and most consistent starters so far-but Josh and Dontrelle have not been too shabby either-just not as consistent.

As i said in the off season, Pavs has turned the corner-let's hope we sign him as I believe that he's eligible for free agency next yr.

Pavano. There really can be no argument here. To give Perisho the nod as the MVP for throwing one pitch is ridiculous. Pierre a close second.

It is very encouraging to take 2 of 3 from the Stros in Houston. Houston, IMO, could be the best team in baseball this year. Very solid pitching and awesome bats.

Penny, Willis and Pavs did a great job shutting down their powerful lineup! :notworthy

Smoltz is getting really old his arm is about to fall off.

Smoltz is getting really old his arm is about to fall off. I didn't ask who you wanted. I said who has been the BEST closer so far this year. That has to be AB so far.
