Mordey was just standing there outside gate G with all his gear on all ready to play, he even had his glove and was carrying like 5 bats with him. He was just standing there and what seemed like hundreds of people were just walking past him not even caring he was standing there and nobody even acknowledged him or ask him for an autograph or anything, would have been much different if it was Lowell or JP, lol. I have no idea why he was out there, he was just standing there not doing anything, not talking to anybody, mabye he was waiting for something or somebody? I had a ball in my car so I ran back to my car to get the ball for him to sign it and by the time I got back he was gone .

Two years back, we had a 30 minute rain delay and I saw AJ in full uniform driving the Chevron car around the stadium in the parking lot.

Yesterday i went and my brothers coachesand their wives was there to but we sat in different sections. When the game was over and we were leaving she called us (and since i am such a big beckett fan) they saw beckett leaving in a BMW with a girl hopefully she was leanne tweeden AKA his girlfriend they called him she waved they told her not u josh and then he waved at them They were so excited and so was i but i did get to see him :boo-woo

My Father saw Miguel Cabrera at a bank in the Aventura area yesterday. He was cashing a two thousand dollar check from a radio station, or so my Dad was told. Noone bugged Migs but everyone stared. He is very tall. The End.

 

Quite a few players from MLB teams live in Weston (notably, Jeff Conine and Jeffrey Hammonds) but I've never seen any around.

I've got a ton of player stories, but the one most in theme with this thread was 2 years ago on the 100 level. My friend and I showed up about 15 mins before the first pitch and we saw AJ Burnett and Josh Beckett driving a golf-cart around the concorse. Beckett was drving so we yelled "Josh!" and he stopped the cart and the two talked to us for like 5 mins before the few fans that were there came up and started asking for autographs. They signed all the stuff, but they took off kinda quickly after that. Josh showed us the blister that he was on the DL with and my friend and I laughed at him when we saw it, we said "man, you're lucky we're not in a playoff race because you should be out there with a blister like that" and he just laughed. The two of them were really nice guys...Josh has gotten a little more arrogant though.

My best all time Marlins player story was right after game 6 of the World Series in Yankee Stadium. After 2 hours of waiting for the players after the game, I sneaked in through a hole in the fence and was able to walk right into the VIP area where the player/family buses where. I was standing next to Gonzo's family and kids, and the players started coming out. I had just bought a conmemorative pennant, and borrowed a pen from some fan, and got JP, Pudge, Conine, Lowell and Castillo to sign it. I also saw Willis, AJ, Hollandsworth, Lee pass me by. Cabs and Gonzo stood right next to me but didn't sign autographs as they were making calls and dealing with family, etc. After I chased Pudge into the parking lot and got his autograph (thanks to telling him I came from puerto rico..hehe), the police kicked me out. I still can't believe how lucky I was that night...I now have the pennant and my WS ticket along with a special newspaper first page framed in my room...

Here are some of the other pics I took after the game. What made this whole experience even more interesting is that my parents flew from Puerto Rico to Philly to visit me for the first time in college and I left them to got overnight to Yankee Stadium...hehehe. I guess you do what you have to do.

i had my SI witht the marlins champonship, and i wanted him to sign it, so i gave him the pen with the top on, and he just started making jokes about how the pen top should've been off and stuff

I was in the locker room when they clinched the wild-card against the Mets. A good friend of the family is part of Tri-City Electric which supplies power to Pro Player, so he has an all access pass to the stadium, he even has the key to it :cool . Anyway, I was down at the game with him, and when Pierre caught that fly-ball, I just looked at him and said "I bet they're going to have an awesome time in the clubhouse" and he looked at me and said "let's find out." I was absolutely floored, and man oh man, greatest time ever. I toasted with Brad Penny, and all the guys were awesome. It was just so damn overwhelming, my only regret is that I didn't keep a champagne bottle :banghead I'm still kicking my self over that one...

Yankee fans weren't that bad after game 6...some either approached Marlins fans to congratulate us and accept that we were the better team, I was actually impressed by their reaction.

Then his boss goes up tp JP when he was getting his drinks and got him to sign two balls. He was with his mother my brother said and ordered like 10 burgers or something! :lol

My brother got one of Beckett's first autographs in PPS a week or so after he was drafted (or was it after he signed?) when Beckett was in a skybox, and mi hermanito was in the Club Level.

I met Mantei, Redmond, Berg, and John Henry in person.

Henry definitely gives off the "creepy" vibes, I've met Loria and Huizenga, but never him...

I have had a few experiences myself. I've met Pudge, Niner, AJ, Josh (kinda), even Samson.

 

Brad is one of the coolest though. You can have a nice convo with him and he's really nice. Josh is cool too. I don't know why people say he's a jerk.

 

Pudge is really good to fans.
