June 1, 200422 yr Check this out... LINK Scroll down to the bottom of that list. That is the list of hitters in ALL of MLB with at least 100 PA ranked in order of BA. Yea that guy you see at the very BOTTOM of the list is our Catcher...
June 1, 200422 yr as you all know, i am not a supporter of Castro, but I cannot stand all the changing of minds so quickly. Let's see the potential roots of the problem. 1) Rape trial 2) Laziness 3) Mechanics 1) Get him a sports shrink. 2) Get him out of here. 3) Mr. Robinson, you are needed in batting cage #2.
June 1, 200422 yr He's disgusting. It pisses me off to think of all those guys out there who work their asses off and would do ANYTHING for ONE AB in the major leagues. He's a pig for shaming his wife and family and baseball club. I know athletes aren't angels, but hey, Chipper Jones knocked up a friggin Hooters waitress and he played on. At least he retained some dignity. By the way...anyone notice that A-Gon's avg is higher than Derek Jeter's? Awesome.
June 1, 200422 yr Castro is not this bad...something isnt right, but I dont want to wait around and I dont think our club can afford to wait around.
June 1, 200422 yr Castro with RISP 4/28 .143 with RISP, 2 out, 2/18, .111 With bases loaded 0/5 with 4 SOs. :thumbdown
June 1, 200422 yr the Marlins are in a real bind with Castro. putting him on waivers, releasing him, or trading him right now would simply be bad business. he's a fairly good defensive catcher who has performed great in the minors and has shown 20-homer power. you cannot just give that away. that being said, what we're seeing here is atrocious. it's clear his head is screwed up right now. this team is not the right place for him to figure these problems out.
June 1, 200422 yr I heard the Marlins are already looking for possibilities out there to replace Castro... Now it is not known if they are actually going to get "rid" of him or just get someone to be the main catcher and put Castro again as backup.

But the dude is a piece of "bleep" and I don't think any club in its right mind would want to trade for him, nor can he be sent to the minors... What do you do with him other than keep him as back up after Red... Put him as a towell boy? :confused
June 1, 200422 yr put him on waivers. if any organization is stupid enough to claim him....go for it.
June 1, 200422 yr I just think its funny as hell how people have started booing him every time he doesnt get a hit. I will definetly let him have it tonight if he doesnt hit
