Gonzo has been hitting quite a bit better of late. If he can just keep hitting at this level, all will be well.

He did hit a homer in the game. Dontrelle has also hit a home run this year, and he has been hitting so good for us that if you remember we even used him as a pinch hitter.

Gonzo has been hitting better lately but it was pretty easy to improve since he started off so bad, but I just have more trust in Dontrelle because AGon just looks so hopeless too many times at the plate.

No. The rule specifically states that the DH can only be used for the pitcher.

 

Another quirk in the DH rule - it says that the DH in the original line-up must bat at least once, unless the opposition changes pitchers. I don't know if this is in response to what Earl Weaver used to like to do - list one of his other starting pitchers as the DH and then pinch-hit for him the first time up.
