June 13, 200422 yr I'll admit it, I would LOVE to see Pudge back in a Marlins uniform. I didn't buy into the PUDGE=SATAN offseason that most Marlins fans did. He said he wanted 4 years, $40 mil. Nobody thought he'd get it. The Marlins offered less. The Tigers offered what he was looking for. He chose the Tigers. And might I add, he's having a terriffic season, without injury for the most part. And our position of need right now? Catcher. That said, I don't think the Marlins would trade for him because (a) it would take a boatload of prospects and (b) I don't think the Tigers would trade him. They've based their season around him and trying to get fans to buy into the fact that they're not as bad as last season, acquiring Pudge this off-season to prove it. If they traded I-Rod, what would that tell the fans? Pudge has made Detroit a better team this year, one that doesn't resemble last year's atrocity.

June 13, 200422 yr I'll give credit to Pudge for calling a very nice game. Robertson tried his best to give the game to us, and we choked......several times. Pudge would mix up the pitches well, but Robertson had trouble with his control. To think he shut us out through 7 innings....his supposed best outing of the year is really sad. He walked the lead-off batter and hit the next one in one inning.....walked the first two batters in another.....and we did all we could to get him out of the jams he created. Sad. Really sad.
