June 25, 200420 yr I got on to ask the same exact thing. That is s***ty managing. What the f*** is he saving him for let the man swing the bat.
June 25, 200420 yr Yeah! Man what the hell is wrong with him? The should fire him just because of this game. Forget that he plays hunches and is wrong on some of them. He's finished, bring back Boles

June 25, 200420 yr Come on guys, firing McKeon because of this? That's would not be good. this team is coming back to a good run. They problems with the offense have disappeared, but the pitching needed to step up tonight and failed.
June 25, 200420 yr The only thing I dont like with McKeon is somewhere he got some notion that Damion Easley is superman. Superman doesnt get cut from a 6 mill contract.
June 25, 200420 yr I want no more Easley, No more Borland. I'm tired of giving people chances. I want Choi out there....and I want to see howard, Crotch Grabber, Koch, Perisho, Benitez and Tejera now.....Quite the bullcrap.

June 25, 200420 yr The only thing I dont like with McKeon is somewhere he got some notion that Damion Easley is superman. Superman doesnt get cut from a 6 mill contract. Yeah, what's up with this? Damion hit a couple big HRs but how it also seems like he's ended quite a few games by striking out..at least tonight wasn't caught looking like all the others. Choi's defense is needed and his offense against left-handers this year hasn't been that bad. Miguel has struggled against left-handers too but he's worth keeping in the line-up.
June 25, 200420 yr So far during this experiment to play Easley at 1B in the month of June.... Easley is 1 for 19.... .053 BA Choi is hitting .214 against lefties, and .266 against righties....so really not that bad of a drop-off. I don't see the great justification for playing Easley in his place. Easley is more of a defensive liability. Let Choi see more left-handed pitching, and he will improve. Pierre is hittting .222 vs. lefties Cabrera .130 I'm sure Jack hasn't considered benching them. FREE CHOI :thumbup
June 25, 200420 yr Unfortunetly Jack doesn't like to make too many changes once the game starts. Doubt anyone can convince him to change that. The problem is that he's starting his bench players way too much.
June 25, 200420 yr Easly is horrible, not to mention he ruined the game in some ocations. Bring in Choi and take out the trash.
June 25, 200420 yr Time for some common sense here... Easely is not terrible. The guy can hit and is solid. Great guy to have come OFF the bench - a sexier Mordecai, basically. He has come back to earth and now everyone is bailing on him. No one should have made the mistake that Easely was going to hit .300+ with 40HR seeing regular duty. C'mon. That said, Easely aint all bad either. Give him a start every now and then to keep him sharp. He doesnt get it done, he doesnt get it done. But he is a bench player and needs to stay sharp. That ALSO said, Jack is getting too cute with mixing up the lineup. He should stick with his starters. Everyone needs to know their role and the starters need to know who is hitting regularly too as well as WHERE in the lineup they are hitting. And Jack needs to stick with the same guys in the pen. Borland is terrible. Cant throw strikes consistently. And he looks like a child molester (SP?). Koch looked rough last night and the Marlins just couldnt close the door on the Braves last night with 2 outs. Jack needs to not managed panicked. It seems like he is trying to make something happen but we are still in 1st and playing well enough to hold that. We need to get all of our starters back and healthy so the pen can recover and pitch like they are supposed to. THat is not Jack's fault. And once that gels, the Marlins should settle in and get a streak going.
June 25, 200420 yr Don't start hating on Easley. He's a good, solid player... just not at first base. Plus Choi deserves to play everyday. But I have nothing against Easley.
June 25, 200420 yr Easly is horrible, not to mention he ruined the game in some ocations. Bring in Choi and take out the trash. Your signature is pretty creepy. I like it.
June 25, 200420 yr I've been ruminating on this for a week and the conclusion I've drawn is that Robinson and McKeon have a timetable for bringing Choi along (meaning he plays whether the pitcher is righty or lefty) and they are not ready (or feel Choi is not ready) to deviate from it. While its maddening as a fan to watch Choi sit I'm not about to call for Jack's head because let's face it, he knows better than we do. Is it frustrating? Yes. But at the same time if you believe Choi will be with us for years to come, history may prove Jack and Robinson employed the right strategy.
