of course he's my favorite player.. but i really think he needs to be a part of this marlins offense more often! did anyone else get excited when he came in to pinch hit in the fifth inning of the pirates game today when they were only down 3-0? i never saw that coming, but i did appreciate it!

 

i think kip wells got the crap scared out of him. 4-0. walk.. then jp.. then mackowiak just likes to ruin everything! but besides that.

 

he's a great athlete, and i think he needs to be more involved in the offense.. and maybe that'll even motivate him to pitch better. he's still batting .310 for a pitcher, and for this late in the season, that's pretty darn good.

 

though i doubt he'll field any position.. he should come in to at least pinch hit more often..

I don't care how good a pitcher is at the plate, unless his last name is Ruth it isn't a viable solution to anything.

 

IMO Dontrelle needs to spend less time trying to hit the third pitch and more time learning how to throw it.

Dontrelle needs to concentrate on throwing the pitch than hitting it, sad he's in the bullpen for a day or two =|

Dontrelle shouldn't be a primary pinch hitter ever. He should be used in some situations though. And no, he doesn't need more abs.
