July 18, 200422 yr even if benitez blew the save it dosen't matter, when you score 2 runs almost evry game dont expect to win many games. when we score 2 runs then we expect our pitchers to be perfect. now i think that the only way we can win is if our pitchers throw a perfect game or a no hitter cause we CAN'T HIT!!!!!!. If Lowell and Cabrera dont bring the runners then we wont win even if they bring in 3 we still wont win cause no body else will. Im tired of hearing about "Oh Conine will come around" When??? next year...or "oh let choi play or he is the man" this guy only hits when there is no body on base but when there is someone on base he cant bring anyone home he has like 35 rbi's and most likely come from HR which most came from the beginning of the year. When Alex Gonzalez basically your best Defensive player is third in your team in rbi's (40) then you have a problem. also its like we have 2 pitchers cause redman cant hit for his life what is he hitting now under .250 even Pavano had 2 hits DAMN!!!!!! and our bench is the worst. One more thing Cabrera learn how to field how many times has the ball passed him this year when he is charging it?? i think last year he was way better at LF

July 18, 200422 yr I agree but willinham aint the answer treanor aint the answer our bench sucks and just about nothing is going our way ... I keep seeing these good outings go to waste. and im not talking about last night. no one is the answer right now ... there needs to be an outside soul coming to this team to wake it up ... and the minors aint the answer either (to all you Joe Dillon fans) we need someone in the OF ... Cordero needs to get healthy, he could really be a factor down the road and I'd like to see him out there. also ... Carl Everett kids ... Carl "mr. attitude" Everett im sure Lenny can get him in the right mindset and he could have some fun around here.

July 18, 200422 yr Bringing in Benitez was a bad idea given how he has fared in other times he's had a substantial time off. But what can you do? Offense is a problem. But it's not like one bat can change anything. You still have the misuse of Choi low in the order, using all your speed in one spot, and unwillingness to test any outfield arms. Not to mention the team's incredible futility with runners in scoring position. Adding a bat just adds a couple more fly outs to fall short PPS' deep fences. We're relying too much on the home run (rare) or 3 or 4 hit innings (even rarer) to score a run. We need to spice it up and take some chances like Ozzie Guillen did. The defense isn't going to make a perfect throw every time. Pitching has also been a problem. Did you know that we've had 6 quality starts (>6 IP,
