Passion
Before the trade deadline do you think it would take for the Fish to consider themselves sellers? Carl Pavano rumors are heating up.
Marlins Phenom
Carl Pavano rumors are heating up. 466630 Link to the rumors?
Das Texan
its also going to depend on how the team is playing in the next 10 days. if the team is playing well and just cant catch atlanta because they are also...they wont be selling. if they play like crap like they have basically for the past 6 weeks...they may be sellers. dontrelle
who can they possibly sell?.. i know there are people, but i just dont see the point in doing so. i personally would prefer the team be kept in tact, aside from billy koch, and just add on whatever we may need in the off season.. like beltran perhaps if he doesn't wind up signing big $$ w/ someone else. ;
Das Texan
beltran is signing for huge $$$ somewhere. if the team is out of it....you have to consider selling. rebuild the farm system that took a hit last year.
WildMarlinMan2003
Marlins will dominate the Mets, Phils, and Expos in the next coming days! Book It. We will defend our title. We are not sellers.

Carl Pavano rumors are heating up. 466630 The Marlins play 6 games against the Phillies before July 29th. those will decide whether we're buyers or sellers on July 31st. MarlinsFanatic
If we are 8 games out, we get one major leaguer and several good minor league prospects for Pavano.
rferry
ThePassion, This is why so many hate the Yankees. Don't go wishing our team goes into a further slump so you can get your hands on our best pitcher for your underperforming free agents (Lowe, Nomar), or your overrated two-bit prospects. Marlins2003
Let me get this straight. Red Sox Nation, the team and their fans, perennial losers that they are (said by a BoSox fan from 1950-1992) and SEVEN GAMES OUT (lol) want to know when we'll be selling Pavano? Unfreakinbelievable ! Flamarlins3
Well the way I see it the Marlins could always make the trades after July 31 assuming make it through waivers. In gammons most recent column he quoted a GM as saying there will be more trades in August. So they can wait and see a little longer before making any decision to sell. Plus if the team is successful this week no way any sort of selling

Marlins2003
The real question is how many games out do the BoSox have to be to dump Pedro, Ortiz, Momar and Curt Shilling?
RockyMountainMarlin
6 games is the 'not so magic' magic number
