Go Fish!

Lets win!

MUST-win here.

get em willis and willy(hopefully)!

We better win... although the Marlins are 0-3 when I am in attendance. :thumbdown

Yahoo! Sports Game Preview

The Montreal Expos have scored the fewest runs in the majors this season.

If it were up to Dontrelle Willis, they would be kept off the scoreboard altogether.

The reigning NL Rookie of the Year will look to extend his impressive scoreless streak against Montreal as the defending World Series champion Florida Marlins resume a three-game series at Olympic Stadium.

Willis has held the Expos scoreless in two starts this season. He beat them 3-0 in his season debut April 8, and posted a 9-0 victory in his next start April 14. Willis also struck out 12 over 12 2-3 innings in those two outings.

Willis is 4-1 with a 2.60 ERA in five career starts against Montreal, and boasts a 4-0 record with a 3.64 ERA in eight road starts this year.

The Expos hadn't scored against the Marlins in 42 innings before snapping the streak with Friday's 2-1 victory in the opener.

Montreal, which has scored just 319 runs this year, had been shut out in each of its previous four meetings with Florida.

The Expos, who were playing their first game at Olympic Stadium in four weeks, won their second in a row after losing five of seven.

Juan Pierre stole home for the only run for the Marlins, who had won three of their previous four.

Pierre finished 3-for-5, and is batting .444 (11-for-25) in his last five games.

Florida fell 2 1/2 games behind the NL East-leading Atlanta Braves, whose game with the New York Mets was rained out Friday.

Need wins in the next two, lets rock Biddle

Biddle's probably one of the 5 worst pitchers in the NL but he's had 2 decent starts in a row against the Pirates. Still, I expect him to get light up like a x-mas tree sooner rather than later and that could be tonite.

The Expos bullpen will likely be very short tonite. Ayala who has been amazing has been used in 4 of the last 5 games and threw a ton pitches last night. Joe Horgan should also be unavailable.

Honestly, I can't see how the Fish lose this one.

Dontrelle's career stats versus Expos:

2.60 ERA, 4 W, 1.27 WHIP (27.2 IP)

Err... one of them was an exhibition game where the real players were replaced within 3 innings for single A players... so that explains one of the losses. :confused

But, even though it was a loss, the one other time we went to a Marlins game in Montreal, the Marlins eventually won the World Series. :mischief :mischief2

:lol

I'd like to see Dontrelle use his slider/breaking ball whatever he calls it more often than in previous starts. I was watching his complete game victory over Detroit, and he mixed it up very well. I'd like for him to do that today.

we need this win, last nights loss was disgusting...at least we have another bat in the lineup.

is wil cordero back yet, cause it says his name?

Phillies won(Cubs blew another chance in the 9th), so we need to win tonight to keep pace

God, the Expos stadium is fugly.

Their anthem sucks.

OMG is that like Backstreet Boys or something?

The singing is done and the 16 people in the stadium go wild!

JP bounces out to Cabrera at short for the first out of the game

Luis runs it full then bounces back to Biddle for out #2
