Backed by the strong work of their relievers, the Expos will try to complete just their second four-game winning streak of the season when they close out a weekend series with the Florida Marlins at Olympic Stadium.

Last night Montreal was finally able to break through against Florida's Dontrelle Willis, who hadn't allowed a run in his two previous starts against the Expos this season.? Willis allowed three runs - two earned - and three hits in six innings.

The Marlins, who had won three of four coming into this series, dropped 3? games behind first-place Atlanta in the NL East.

STANDINGS: Marlins - 3rd place, 3? GB, NL East. Expos - 5th place, 15? GB, NL East.

MARLINS PROBABLE STARTER: Justin Wayne, recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday, will be making his first start of the year after 18 relief appearances. The right-hander, who has made seven career starts, has pitched two scoreless innings of relief in his career against Montreal.

EXPOS PROBABLE STARTER: Livan Hernandez will try to end a three-start losing streak. The Cuban right-hander pitched well in his last start, a 2-1 loss to Pittsburgh on Tuesday. He allowed both runs and four hits in eight innings, striking out eight without a walk. Hernandez is 6-3 with a 2.51 ERA in 12 career starts against Montreal.

OFFENSIVE LEADERS: Marlins - Juan Pierre, .312 avg. and 25 SBs.; Miguel Cabrera and Mike Lowell, 21 HRs; Cabrera, 67 RBIs and 62 runs. Expos - Chavez, .296 and 14 SBs.; Brad Wilkerson, 18 HRs and 56 runs; Tony Batista, 49 RBIs.

SEASON SERIES: Marlins, 5-3.

STREAKS AND NOTES: 3B Lowell is 11-for-33 (.333) with a homer in his career against RHP Hernandez. ... OF Pierre was caught stealing for the 15th time this season Saturday. He was thrown out only 20 times all last season. Expos - The last time Montreal relievers let up an earned run was in last Sunday's 16-5 loss to Atlanta.

ROAD/HOME RECORDS: Marlins - 24-27 on the road; Expos - 20-27 at home.

I figured a change of pace couldn't hurt.... :compute

Because he is trying to prove a point.....Nunez.

The Braves have Hampton going today and the Phils are going against Prior. Hopefully we somehow get a win with Wayne on the mound.
