July 30, 200422 yr 1B- Conine or Easley 2B- Castillo SS- Gonzalez 3B- Lowell LF- Encarnacion CF- Pierre RF- Cabrera C- Lo Duca I think it should be like that. What do you guys think? I think putting Pierre or Cabrera in 1st base is silly. Conine plays it so he can swap with Easley. 484237 Swap Cabs and Enc. We know Enc is great in Right and Cabs sucks at Right. Cabs was great in Left and he only moved to Right because we got rid of Enc. Now that he's back, we can move them back and put Conine at first. 484253 I dont think Encarnacion is gonna be here for long, Admin aint done dealing yet.
July 30, 200422 yr I dread at the idea of Cabs at 1st. What a waste of an arm, just put the guy in left. I'm fine with Conine and Easley playing 1st.
July 30, 200422 yr we just lost a #2 starter and a future all star 1b for a .230 hitter, overpayd and mediocre catcher and a nice setup man. u cant replace a #2 starter like that. we r f***ed in the postseason 484153 Stop the presses The Juanky and The Pubes have reached an agreement
July 30, 200422 yr ^^^ he does have a point. But Choi can be sculpted into a Barry Bonds... 484212 classic 484224 What? He could be. If he had better plate disipline. The guy has power. Almost unreal. Should I pull up the clip of wednesday? No one has ever hit it that far in that location befroe. Ever.
July 30, 200422 yr Just came in and I find this f***ing s*** out. I'm f***ing pissed. I hope so this doesnt f***ing happen please please.... 484265 It has already happened, sorry.

(Even though Encarnacion has a cannon too but I think Cabreras is stronger.) They need to keep Cabrera in one position and stop moving him around. Everyone then seems to complain when he begins to start a new position and does bad. Yes he does play good corner infield but keep the kid in one position. He's RF so keep him there.

Somethine that's underrated about his game.
July 30, 200422 yr Conine moves to first and that is his "native" position. 484280 Yea. Id rather have Conine play first then Cabs. Cabs would be better in RF. As his Defense is no good now I believe it will improve.
July 30, 200422 yr Cabrera reminds me of another Manny Ramirez....slow but with a cannon and both can hit....hey and both got the same number. The kid will improve if kept in RF which is why he should be left there.
July 30, 200422 yr 423JUAN hasn't made an error in how many games? And also, his arm is more accurate. Doesn't matter regardless.
July 30, 200422 yr Author How can we trade Choi? I seriously feel like crying He will TRULY me missed! 484281 Yeah I know, i'm REALLY going to miss Choi :( :confused
July 30, 200422 yr Whoever said we improved the defense is an idiot. Cabrera's arm is wasted at first base. Conine reads fly balls better as well as any one in the league. Choi was a very good defender at first base.
July 30, 200422 yr Offense is weakened. LoDuca stinks in the second half. His OPS has dropped over .100 points every second half of his major league career. Encarnacion hits for power and has good speed but rarely makes contact and gets on base to put either to good use. The defense is worse off. Cabrera wasn't solid in left field last year and he's not going to be this year. Conine's ability to read fly balls are wasted at first base. Cabrera's arm is wasted at first base. The rotation is worse off. Losing our second best pitcher this year and one of our four aces. The bullpen hasn't been upgraded. Mota is solid. Damn good, but the bullpen will be worse off covering for a roaming cast of AAAA starters giving us short outings every fifth day out.
July 31, 200422 yr Author Conine moves to first and that is his "native" position. 484280 Especially at this age.
July 31, 200422 yr Conine moves to first and that is his "native" position. 484280 Especially at this age. 486118 Conine came up as a 3B and OFer. He's not slow. He's very athletic and plays good defense in left. He ranks 5th or 6th among leftfielders in various range stats.
