Miami Does it again to L.A

Featured Replies

We have killed L.A in the past month......first the Heat take Shaq away from them and now we take the heart and soul of the dodgers (lo duca) and one of the best catchers as well as the best set up man in MLB and a good RF that we know what he can do 90 something RBI's last year as well as a 20/20 guy (encarnacion)

According to Stark from espn and most writers, analyst and radio host we were the biggest winners in the Trades and helped our team the most.

Go to ESPN.com and read Starks article about the biggest winners and losers in the trades.

Marlins #1 Biggest winners

yea i loved the trade in the first place, wit the old team we would end the season 82-82 at .500 for sure. we were to inconsistent. now we will pass the braves and end up 90-72. we will go on a tear soon now thatwe actually have a bullpen, not just a closer.

but this off-season, if we dont make it to the playoffs and get more of a payroll, we r dead, could some one confirm this off season we r free of mike hamptons and pudge's contracts.

a mediocre catcher

a good but overrated relief pitcher (the ballpark and Eric Gagne cuts his era in half)

a crappy right fielder

for

a really good starting pitcher

a young, talented first basemen

a promising prospect

yeah, the Marlins really made out well :lol

Penny>Mota

Choi>Lo Duca

a monkey>Encarnacion

how bout this

lo duca great catcher>choi unproven 1st baseman with holes in the swing

encarnacion great all around player played in the worst hitter field possible>prospect who's era is over 4.00

mota=penny we needed bullpen help, we got staring pitchers already

how bout the contract of pudge and hampton when will it end, because if its this year we easily resign pavano and lo duca for sure

No offense Mays, but opinions about Dodgers coming from a Giants fan doesn't really sit all that well. In fact, it rather sucks :shifty

Choi > Lo Duca??? dude, pathetic...

Not sure you really "took" LoDuca, Juan E. and Moto from the Dodgers...they traded them. For whatever reason they think they're getting the better deal...certainly not a team that would need a "salary dump".

I hope the deal works out for the Marlins. At least they're trying to win which is far better than they did under the previous ownership. It was really important that they not give up this year when you consider the stadium situation.

I agree. This team will be a fun team to watch the rest of the way.

Whether or not they can catch Atlanta or the other Wild Card teams is another story.

then move one of your starters to the bullpen, it's that simple

Felix Rodriguez>?? Ricky who??

Good trade SF, you really improved on what you are weak at.

Merkin Valdez>Felix Rodriguez

Ricky LeDee=really good bench support

Felix Rodriguez blew it for us every time in the postseason

I guess Marlins04 has already left the building by now. But I think Pudge has a 4-year contract with the Tigers. But I'm not sure. He wanted a 4-year contract with the Marlins but they didn't want to lose $40 million to him for 4 years.

what the hell has Merkin done in the majors to be worthy of him being better than FRod?

nothing
