Featured Replies

A lot of yankees say pop too.

Carolinians say "soft drink"

I always just say soda.

I just say coke

I say "soda" up in dis piece.

I say soda.

My relatives in Minnesota and Michigan say pop all the time.

Maine is a "soda state". :thumbup

Out of 501 people surveyed, 464 people called soda "soda". "Pop" had 8.

what if its a 7UP or a Dr. Pepper?? still call it coke??

i go with soda. its the safest route to go, and no one gets offended.

everything is coke....if I want to specify, I specify.

If I want to specify that I'm talking about Sprite, I say sprite.

Where yall say "soda" or "pop", I say "coke".

Where yall say "sprite" or "dr. pepper" I, too say "sprite" or "dr. pepper"

Exactly

I called it POP when I was younger living in Rochester, NY, but when I moved to Florida I made fun of people calling it soda. I began calling it SODA not to long after. Now I feel funny calling it POP. That chart seems pretty acurate.

my friends in minnesota say "pop" and we'd always laugh b/c that just sounds wrong here, everyone basically says "soda" or "coke".....i usually say "soda"
