Jordan Heat ?

Featured Replies

This is an unsubstantiated rumor, but ESPN Insider has rumored that Jordan who is working out with current NBA players may make a comeback to be a sixth man on the Miami Heat...I think if Jordan were to come back that he would be a defensive specialist rather than our offensive threat, I just wonder if his ego could handle that ?

If the Heat were to get Jordan all I would be able to say is WOW :o

Michael Jordan showed up at Hoops Gym in Chicago last week with his Air Jordans in tow, looking for a pick-up game. His trainer, Tim Grover, runs A.T.T.A.C.K. Athletics out of Hoops Gym and has a legendary run of NBA veterans and rookies taking place behind closed doors each summer. Grover hires NBA refs and uses the time to get the players he trains ready for the NBA season.

Jordan was just coming off his camp in Santa Barbara, Calif., where he played against some of the top college players in the country, including Chris Paul, Mustafa Shakur, Rashard McCants, Jarret Jack and Joey Graham.

Jordan

Apparently, that wasn't enough to scratch his itch. In total, Jordan's played in three pick-up games at Hoops over the past week with top NBA players like Paul Pierce, Michael Finley, Juwan Howard, Antoine Walker, Corey Maggette, Quentin Richardson, Eddy Curry, Ben Gordon, Shaun Livingston and Andre Iguodala, to name a few.

According to sources who've seen him play, Jordan can still play but isn't in great shape.

"Sometimes he still looks good, other times he looks like an old man," one source told Insider. "Still whenever Michael steps on the floor, the intensity of the game ratchets up a notch."

There have been rumors for weeks that Jordan is contemplating a comeback -- possibly with the Miami Heat. According to those same sources, the rumors aren't true.

"He's 41 years old. If he wanted to play, he probably still could. I would never say never with Michael, but that's not why he's here. He just wanted to get some exercise and some good runs. I don't think you'll see Michael playing in the NBA again."

I just think it would be amazing to watch some of those pick up games.

gordon, livingston and iguodola have never played an nba game and are now considered to be top nba players?

juwan howard is washed up and wasnt that great when he was at his best...

corey maggette is not a top nba player and same can be said for quentin richardson.

eddy curry is a lazy nba player.

michael finley was a top nba player a few years back...but i'm not so sure anymore...but you can get away with it.

paul pierce actually is a top nba player.

some of these writers are dumber than dirt.

he definitely wouldn't be worth it on the court

but if there's any tickets left at all, he'd get um sold

not to mention jersey's

Sure he would.

He'd cost next to nothing in NBA money. And he'd be a better option off the bench than Rasaul. He'd be a teacher and get another ring.

Rasual is starting, foo'!

God I hope this is just a rumor and it has no truth to it. MJ should just give it up already. Forget about Basketball and move on with your life.

michael needs to cut this crap. its embarrassing everytime he comes back and it has really become a joke. its over mike, do like magic since he last retired (minus the Magic show).

this rumor was shot down by wilbon on PTI. hes close with mike and talked to him today and mike said all he does is work out with nba players and ppl think hes comin back. he said he is not coming back and is happy on the golf course. this isnt gonna happen.

Yeah I knew Rasual was starting but I'd still rather have him starting and Rasual off the bench. Maybe I wasn't clear enough.
