Either do it here or don't post them. It's that simple. No bickering, just predictions and pictures you guys make.

Won't go over the Tampa or west coast area of FLorida and head into Dade, that's for sure. I'd say around central FLA if at all, though. I don't think we're going to get hit this time around, gladly.

my prediction: havana is in trouble, and new orleans as well

After a considerable amount of time, Ivan will come and wash out the World Series. :mischief

All models point to FLA now...except one which takes it straight out and away, towards nothing. Another may take it to the Carolinas, but all others are on us.

I say a miracle happens and it stays away from Florida...

This hurricane season has made it clear that Florida is destined to be destroyed. Ivan will be just the next storm to hit Florida.

My prediction

....apparrently too big so

my prediction

This hurricane season has made it clear that Florida is destined to be destroyed. Ivan will be just the next storm to hit Florida.

Does anyone think theres a more complicated reason for this increase in strong hurricanes hitting Florida or even forming, or is it just a coincidence.

Before the season began I remember watching one of the news specials on the hurricane season and they were talking about how bad of a drought he had and the last three times we had a drought this bad, each time we were hit by 2 hurricanes. So historically this is on the ball. Nature evens itself out in the end.

The last time three hurricanes hit Florida in a single season was 1964, when Cleo, Dora and Isabel hit the state.

the eye of ivan will go over dade county

ivan will hit miami, then move up north

IMO, taking a look at the factors for Ivan's path, slowing down isn't good at all. Gives it more of a chance to turn away albeit, but I don't believe it could do that unless it slowed down a lot more like to 7 mph. If it slows down to even 10 mph, greater chance of hitting us.

It'll touch the Florida West Coast and head up the coast. Miami itself will just get some rain and winds.

Right now we are in the Atlantic active Hurricane Cycle which started in 1995. Though this year may become one of the most active on record. The record is 20 storms in 1933 I believe.

Oh yeah the three storms that hit Florida in 1964...

Cleo was a cat 5 in 1958 and in 1964...

Isabel was a Cat 5 in 2003...

Dora, was just strong.

I see some very interesting predictions, Admin's is the closest to mine but I just hope that it makes landfall and crosses quickly because a skimming would put the coast under water and be worse than anything we have ever seen.

Its a transparent republican conspiracy with the Saudi's to drive up gas prices. The hurricane hunters are obviously cloud seeding rather than hurricane hunting. Georgia PAcific probably has a hand in the conspiracy too - they've got a vested interest in driving up plywood prices...
