3 in a row is nice and all but...

I GOTS TO HAVE MORE COWBELL...

Santana Moss- Big time players step up in big time games. I love that quote even though I am not a Miami fan.

Yes my name is Bruce Dickenson, yes the Bruce Dickenson :plain

JP hit a homer against this dude my prediction is that he's gonna get smoked tommorow.

3 in a row is nice and all but...

Yeah, that means nothing at this stage. Forget streaks - just WIN!!!

P.S. Jeff Conine RULES!!!

Yahoo! Sports Game Preview

The Florida Marlins enjoyed their stay in Chicago. Now they are ready to return home.

The Marlins return to Miami to continue their five-game series against the Montreal Expos with a doubleheader at Pro Player Stadium.

With Hurricane Ivan bearing down on Florida, Major League Baseball decided last week to move the first two games of the series to Chicago. The Marlins were already in town for a weekend series against the Cubs, and the White Sox, the normal residents at U.S. Cellular Field, were out of town.

After splitting their four-game set with the Cubs at Wrigley Field, the Marlins took both games from the Expos.

``I think we're going to look at the whole month of September and realize what we've accomplished,'' Florida outfielder Jeff Conine said. ``A lot of weird stuff has happened.''

Conine hit one of Florida's three homers during the third inning Tuesday and then drove in the go-ahead run with a walk in the seventh to lead the Marlins to an 8-6 win. Fans gave the Marlins a standing ovation after the game.

``I hate to leave here,'' Marlins manager Jack McKeon said. ``These fans were great. Did you see how they were after the game?''

Alex Gonzalez and Miguel Cabrera also homered for the Marlins, who have won three straight to move within two games of the San Francisco Giants in the NL wild-card race. They also trail the Cubs by 1 1/2 games and the Houston Astros by a half-game.

Carl Pavano will try to move the Marlins closer to the wild-card lead as he looks to win his sixth consecutive start. The 28-year-old right-hander, who has not lost since Aug. 11, allowed seven hits in a 7-0 win over the Cubs on Friday -- his fourth career shutout.

``I got some big plays behind me,'' Pavano said. ``They got me some runs and I just took it from there. My focus is to go deep into ballgames.''

The Expos have lost five straight and are 2-6 on an 11-game road trip.

ESPN says Kensing is starting the 2nd game....

Personally, i think he should. He might beable to handle the spos, but I know its bump...

Lineup is business as usual

Cubs score 4 in the first

Lets go Marlins. Time to catch up.

Pirates get 4 off of Prior in the second still batting 4-4

What's up with Prior this year anyway? I know he was hurt at the start of the season, but he's been pretty mediocre for a 2-3 months now.

Nobody is in the stands :tissue

Come on people support your Fish :thumbup

It looks like there are 500 people there

It looks like there are 500 people there

aww man

That's not a good start. We need this game.
