September 25, 200421 yr What religion would you consider yourself part of? Roman-Catholic myself, though of course I disagree with the Church at times.
September 25, 200421 yr I went to a Baptist church until I was like 5. After that, never really went to church. Doesn't interest me. I believe in God, but I don't believe what Christianity tells me.
September 25, 200421 yr i was raised a Jehovah's witness. i still consider myself one but im far from where i feel i need to be. very far. its so difficult for me because i really do believe in this faith but i just cant control myself with some things. on a side note, i give this forum a maximum of 2 weeks. especially when Marlins comes back from Israel unless he's blown up when having lunch.

September 25, 200421 yr Grew up with several different churches... lutheran, presbytarian, etc... I consider myself agnostic now. Not really a religion, but nevertheless...
September 25, 200421 yr Went to a Jewish day school through 2nd grade but after that really didn't give an f about it. Dropped out of Hebrew school in 6th. I have various reasons why (I guess those are for other threads) I don't have a religion or worship any god(s).
September 26, 200421 yr Irish Catholic + Baptist bred. Solid agnostic. I prefer Catholicism to evangelical Christianity because overall I see Catholics as more aware and receptive to human problems beyond thinking gays and liberals are of the devil. This thread needed some juice, so there you have it. Oh, Unitarians are cool to. And Hare Krishnas.

I've only seen them when I was a kid and I didn't have the money to give them for a donation to get some literature and see what they're about. Granted, I hear "Krishna" songs kick serious HEINY! Also, Scientology rocks (or so John Travolta says). Seriously, though, I did an online fill-in for Scientology (one of their HQ's is in Cincy, believe it or not) and those son-of-a-guns WOULD NOT LEAVE ME ALONE! I was getting Scientology stuff sent to my dorm every day. They thought I was some loony when I started handing them out on the floor as a joke.
September 26, 200421 yr Ive heard some bad things about the scientoligists. First that they denounce any form of mental illness and see psychology and psychiatry both as being shams that just steal money from people. People like Tom Cruise have done some bad things for mental health awareness. Now Im not saying its a priority...but that its silly to think its all fake. Plus dont you buy your way to enlightenment?
