are the Sox dead?

Featured Replies

oh and i will never count a team out of it at this point

see 96 WS

Braves up 2-0 going to ATL... Leyritz... QWNED.

youneverknow

go yanx!

I was telling Max last night, it's like if they just rolled over and died. But, it's not over yet so we'll see. I am still rooting for them.

They're down 2-0 going into Boston. Were it the other way around (down 2-0 going into New York), I might say they're on life support, but this is nowhere near over.

I still believe this is the year the curse ends !!! Sox are gonna make a great comeback and win it all !!!!

I'm sure you guys were saying the same thing when the Marlins were down 3-1 to the Cubs last year, then going into Chicago having to face Prior and Wood.

There's still hope.....I hope.....

Anything can happen and you can't count the Sox out. Look at what happened to the A's last year when they played the Sox in ALDS.

big difference between the Red Sox coming back against the A's than Coming back against the Yankees

Being down 2-0 heading home for 3 doesn't mean your officially dead (youneverknow) but this is about as close to over as your gonna find.

I mean Schilling is done for the rest of this series (even if it's not official), Pedro is calling the Yankees his daddy, and not to mention, the Red Sox are the Red Sox, and the Yankees are the Yankees.

Red Sox aren't dead yet, but they better win all 3 in Boston if they plan on having a chance in this series.

Exactly.

Who ever thinks its over, i feel bad for you. There are 5 more games to be played, and 3 of them are at Boston. If the two pitchers that were "supposed to win" (according to a lot of people) didnt, what makes you think that the ones that ARENT suupposed to win, wont win? (sorry if i confused you lol)

I'm sure Yankee fans are already talking about the WS, just like they were saying how they had already WON the world series last year since it was against the Marlins...and we all know what happened :whistle

You can never be too confident, because it usually backfires and bites you in the a$$. Yeah, maybe the Yankees will win, but its too early to be saying they will win right now.

Yes, I think their dead.

They have to win 4 out of the next 5 games against the Yanks...I don't think they can do that.

Exactly.

The only real reason that you said for why the Red Sox are still in it is because 3 of the games are in Boston...and that dosen't really mean much to me. I don't think they can win 4 out of the next 5 games against the Yanks.
