Moises Alou

cubs declined option for next season

set to make 11.5 million

2004 : hit .293 39 hr's 106 rbi's

it would be nice to see him back as a marlin

I would love to see Alou back in the black and teal (at a reasonable rate - of course).

The man can flat out rake.

Alou back in teal that sounds good but i wouldnt give him no more than 8 million per season n neways i think he likes remember the NLCS in 2003 yea u think about that

Right now I will prefer Encarnacion to Alou: cheaper, better attitude, younger and better defense. No to Alou!

Let him go take his urinated hands somewhere else.

Me for $1.25>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Sosa for 8 mil>>>>>>Alou for 8 mill.

Let him go take his urinated hands somewhere else.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

I'll take a pass, thanks.

Consider Moises Alou was my favorite Marlin back in the day.

We have enough primadonnas on this team as is...the last thing we need is Alou. If we're going to spend that kind of $$ on an outfielder I'd rather take my chances with Ordonez :thumbup

$13 Million over 2 years. Why not?

Where's he going to play?

If Lowell was (is) traded, that makes a lot of sense, but I don't think the team is going to be able to put Cabrera back in right without losing some sleep over it. Not to mention that Encarnacion (for all the hate on the board) is a very good defensive outfielder.

I'd love to have him back, but I don't see how he's going to fit.

But I will say this, if he's pegged as our offensive upgrade with Cabrera shifting to right, I guess I'm guardedly in favor of it.

What if Conine goes and you put Cabrera at first?

Conine isnt particularly expensive, hes a solid hitter and firstbaseman. Theres no reason why niner should leave

I agree with leg of Cangelosi on this one. I don't think getting rid of the Niner would be a good idea, since he is still a useful player who can still hit well and play good defense at 1B or the corner OF spots. Regardless of this Conine talk, we will not be getting Alou, which is good, because he doesn't seem to be a good fit for this team.
