Which starter is most due for a breakout season?

Featured Replies

If you are on that list and have not pitched a no-hitter OR won rookie of the year...you need/are due for a breakout season sooner or later.

the marlins should sign AJ to an extension NOW

What's his salary. Add $1.5 million to it at minimum.

Beckett

His hype and performances have not equalled yet. He needs to put up a 17-7 2.85 ERA 200 K type year this year.

Beckett, because he's the only one of the three that hasn't done squat in the regular season before.

Interesting poll, except that to me Burnett already had his breakout season in 2002.

Instead of obsessing over the 12-9 won-loss record, look at the numbers he put up:

200+ strikeouts, 3.30 ERA, 7 complete games with a league-leading 5 shutouts, opposing batters hit just .209 against him.

I agree, and so has Willis

Of the three starters on the poll, Burnett is the only one in the final year of his contract and thus will have a spectacular year.

beckett sucks....burnett is gonna be great if he stays healthy.

d-train this season is the answer people.
