July 7, 200322 yr If you had to choose between these two places to take your family to see a ballgame, based on conveniece and security, which site would you prefer to go to?
July 7, 200322 yr Author Fort Lauderdale: you against traffic to get there, the roads are good around there, it is safer the Downtown Miami, and parking is about $3-4 at most lots and they can offer park and ride using the existing air and sea show plans.

Last time I saw... the common decoration in Downtown Miami was a garbage can.

July 7, 200322 yr Putting the stadium anywhere besides downtown Miami would be a mistake. Miami most likely has the larger fan base, and I doubt they'll want to drive to Fort Lauderdale for the game. However, Ft. Lauderdale is probably safer than Miami, from what I've seen.

July 7, 200322 yr Author This is a personal question...where would you like to go? Not where most people would go, we determine that by using this poll's results.

July 7, 200322 yr So much for you theory about all these Fort Lauderdale loyalists on this board, Downtown Miami is winning this is so funny. this guy, who is the polster, is campaignning for an answer, yet he's losing. but not only that, he tries to lead respondents to the answer he wants. this has to be the most biased marketting research i've seen in a while. :w00t

July 7, 200322 yr I think Downtown Miami gets an unfair rap based on reputations from 10-20 years ago. I find that most people who dis downtown miami havent been there in a long time. obviously, any major city has dangerous areas, but downtown miami has gotten much safer and is not littered by homelss and "whores" as people say. bayside is always going strong, they just moved parrot jungle to an island off downtown, theyre building a new performing arts center, new museums, a lot of new clubs. And, very importantly for me, Metrorail runs right into downtown. tri-rail only goes near downtown ft. lauderdale, then you would need to take a bus.

It will add to another excuse from the Dade people to not go to the stadium.
