Gammons: Pedro almost gone. Red Sox efforts to sign Renteria should be finished today.

 

Gammons: Sox tried to sign Pavano but his famalies ties to the Yankees could've got in the way.

Gammons apparently believes the Sox are going to chill for a while on the starting pitching front, so that may make it easier for us to bring in someone like Odalis.

I sat next to Pavano's sister during Game 4 of the World Series, Marlins vs Yankees, Pavano vs Clemens. She saw that I was a Yankees fan and was about to kill me. It's pretty funny to think about because she will be rooting for the Yankees now.

On Renteria:Renteria overrated on defense. He's not a 10M a year deal.

 

On Matheny: Doesn't hit and it's another hole in that lineup.
