January 10, 200521 yr joe buck sounded like an idiot. he sounded like randy was going around flipping the fans off. wait, didnt jake plummer do that a few weeks back and got almost no reaction? :mischief2 652204 But it's different. Pretending to show your butt to opposing fans is so much more offensive than shooting the bird to your own fans (the ones that pay his salary).
January 10, 200521 yr theres only one reason why randy moss does any of this: because he can. in a 2 week period he has left the field early, called out the media for that and done an endzone celebration (while overblown) that was not called for, and it wont matter because he is so talented that he can get away with all of it
January 10, 200521 yr Author This thread wasn't even necessarily about his little dance... more about the story of his career.. Just look at the events in the last couple days and look at the timing of all of this. First he walks off the field to the dismay of his teammates, then he conducts a PATHETIC interview on ESPN, then he does his little ass dance followed by a post-game interview where he takes NO responsibility for last weeks actions (surprise surprise) and blames the media followed by saying something that gets bleeped out. It's the story of his career. And I'm supposed to respect this guy or I shouldn't come out and call him an immature, selfish punk? Give me a break. I am really surprised at the number of people defending this guy. His whole career has been about him and he's been a 1st class punk his whole life, and what makes him even worse is he is content on being one. All the crap this guy gets on TV is deserved. He wouldn't understand the team concept if it bit him in his ass. But hey, some people respect players for their ability alone... and these are the ones that are sticking up for Moss I would guess, and I respect those opinions. But where I am coming from is, I put just as much stock in a players character as I do with their talent when having a player I respect and look up to... and I hope there are some people that agree with me there. But hey, everyone's different.. if we were all the same, this thread wouldn't be so interesting!
January 10, 200521 yr There's no worries....he ain't scorin this week cause his whole damn team is gettin shut the hell down....
January 10, 200521 yr I agree with you 100 percent IowaMarlinFan. I thank G*d every time this happens, that this type of bulls*** doesn't happen in MLB. It wouldn't be tolerated in MLB. You have to show some type of class at a sporting event player and fan alike. Not only do you make yourself look like an idiot but now everyone will forget the game and what a miraculous win it was and focus on your stupidity. 651826 You dont think MLB players are jerks or classless? You ever hear of Ty Cobb, the Blacksox, Pete Rose, Albert Belle, Jose Conseco, etc? Maybe if fans and the media didnt pay all their attention to guys like Moss and focused more on guys like Curtis Martin who gave Bill Parcells his team MVP award because he felt the coach deserved it.
January 10, 200521 yr Tony Dungy said he thought was Randy did was very funny. Apparently the fans moon the opposing team bus after a win, so Moss gave them some of their own medicine good s***

January 10, 200521 yr the same guy who went absolutely apeshit over the Nicole Sheridan thing 652597 He made it some racial thing.
January 11, 200521 yr Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy said he saw Moss' action and, ``I thought it was kind of humorous.'' ``It's not the kind of thing you want to see on national TV, but I understand what it was all about,'' he said. ``Anyone who has played in the NFC Central knows what that's about. The fans in Green Bay have a tradition in the parking lot after the game where they moon the visiting team's bus,'' he said. ``It's kind of a unique send-off.'' In that context I think its pretty damn funny what he did... edit: I don't like Moss for other reasons (not catching the ball on purpose when he knows he's about to get hit...), but the dance didn't bother me and I feel everyone is making to big a deal out of it.

It wasn't even a moon? He just bent over not even 25 degrees! Whoever is overreacting over this, is the one that needs to grow up. I think the NFL has blown things out of proportion about celebrating after touchdowns that now anything that somebody does just gets SOO much attention and frowned upon by party poopers. It's pathetic.
