January 10, 200521 yr ....the greatness of Brett Favre??? He is a HOF QB and one of the best ever, but now in 2005, he's a slighty above average QB who benefits from a great running game and makes more dumb throws than any QB in the league. 2 bad playoff losses in 3 years, both AT HOME.......i'm tired of hearing "well old #4 is gonna lead the Packers to the Super Bowl" because he can't do it anymore.
January 10, 200521 yr No, but I wish that they would. Brett Favre choked big time in the last 4 four years.
January 10, 200521 yr No. But he has come down with a bad case of Dan Marino Syndrome. Toward the end of his career Dan would try to squeeze the ball through the tiniest of holes. I swear sometimes he tried to throw it through the defenders themselves. Brett is in the early stages of Dan Marino Syndrome, but you can probably expect the symptoms to grow worse over time.
January 10, 200521 yr Brett Favre is great but inconsistent, and that will only decline. Make no mistake, he's great. But his time as a leading QB in the league is almost gone if not gone.
January 10, 200521 yr Are the Vikings and Falcons the only teams to beat the Packersa at Lambeau Field or atleast during Farve's career?
January 10, 200521 yr Are the Vikings and Falcons the only teams to beat the Packersa at Lambeau Field or atleast during Farve's career? 651900 In the playoffs yes.

January 10, 200521 yr 2 home losses in 3 years, both AT HOME.......i'm tired of hearing "well old #4 is gonna lead the Packers to the Super Bowl" because he can't do it anymore. 651875 Can you clarify if those 2 home losses were at home? Anyway, he's become overrated and makes some of the dumbest passes in the history of the game.

January 10, 200521 yr makes more dumb throws than any QB in the league. Jake Plummer anyone? 651926 Perhaps I spoke too soon. However, he's lauded even when he does the most idiotic crap (example: throwing the ball for a "touchdown" when he's four yards past the LOS).
January 10, 200521 yr Or throws an interception....left handed. Anyways, I will never get off Brett Favre's nuts. Ever.

January 10, 200521 yr I love Favre as much as anyone and he can still win games but he just seems like he throws the ball up whenever he wants and hopes Walker, Driver, Ferguson, Franks, or Chatman grab the receptions. He had a great year, believe it or not, and everything but he's declining and there's no doubting that. Favre has made some bad mistakes in his last 2 playoff games which have hurt and hurt BAD. Just because I'm a Packers fan doesnt mean I'm letting him get away with this poor performance just like I did last playoff game against Philly (That stupid INT). He can do whatever he wants, I want him back, but if he retires all hail to Brett. I'll enjoy all that he's brought certainly. He's still a Hall of Famer and I'll still be on his nuts even though I was pissed at his performance!
January 10, 200521 yr This thread is getting printed out and framed on my wall...Thank god.....for as tough as he is and he may be....he pussed out on taking a hit and committed an illegal play.....He coulda had the first down..If you want to talk tough, Gimme John Elway and his helicopter dive against the Falcons....Gimme Elway and his toughness over Favre and his "toughness." Maybe he needs to go back on the painkillers then he'll grow a pair.
January 10, 200521 yr Well.. I just shake my head at this thread. Favre is a great quarterback who is past his prime.. but he's still a competitor and better than half the quarterbacks in this league. I would have given an arm to have him on the Bears this year. Oh, he was brutal out there tonight, don't get me wrong, and he'd be the first to say he had a bad game. But, I still don't know why people need call him names and take personal shots at him though. He has earned his respect. Hey, I don't like Favre.. I'm a Bears fan. But i respect the hell out of him, that's for damn sure...
January 10, 200521 yr If you want to talk tough, Gimme John Elway and his helicopter dive against the Falcons You mean Packers right? His famous flip was against the Packers....and Brett Favre.
January 10, 200521 yr 2 home losses in 3 years, both AT HOME 651875 hmmm...isnt that kind of obvious? I mean that its at home, with them being HOME losses..meh..

Oh, and I never called Favre names, this thread is more to rip the media who still thinks Favre is God, when in reality he's now a marginal QB with a great running game that makes AWFUL decisions.
January 10, 200521 yr marginal quarterback? what's marginal?... the 30 touchdowns? or maybe its the 92.4 rating, or the 4,000+ pass yards Vinny Testaverde and Joey Harrington are marginal QBs, dont ever say Favre is... you dont have a clue

Favre is top 5. Ever. He didnt have his recievers that game either. To FishFan in PA...it is pretty sad that you have to put a printed message board conversation on your wall. But what is even more sad is how your Iggles will lose to the same team Favre lost to this weekend.

It's different that they won in Lambeau because Favre gave them the game. McNabb won't make the same mistakes Favre did.
