WHAT AN ATHLETE...

Featured Replies

There is no way he is going to catch that anyway. The ball was behind him. He either thought there was someone behind him, or he figured if he tried to get it he would just get plowed. But I don't see how he'd catch it anyway. His entire body was moving to the left and the ball passed to the right of his head and body. And that is also slowed down so that ball was going a little faster than that video is showing.

He could've put a hand on it at least...I've never seen a receiver duck away from a ball like that....hilarious.

Notice how he looks back as in to say "dang I missed it!"

I don't see how you'd expect him to get a hand on it. Go run as fast as you can in one direction and then suddenly try and reach back behind your head while doing it.

Thing is though he ducked under it and made no attempt whatsoever

Would you rather him knock it up in the air with a saftey or corner about 5 yards behind him?

I dont get it

the ball was pretty much by him when he looked up anyway... atleast he didnt get smoked in the face

I would have done the same thing, either he ran the route too fast or the QB was late. Not a big deal.

The ball is already past him when he ducked his head. No way he catches that.

He coulda caught that. If he hadn't ducked, it probably woulda hit him in the face.

But this play is so ridiculous that I can't really get on the guy. I mean if you really want to see alligator arms, Todd Pinkston could put together his own reel from this season alone.

Look closely. The ref blocked him out and his peripheral vision as the ball was released and being thrown. He probably didnt know it was coming and as he turned around it was right there so that was his instinct. Im sure he would have made an attempt for it had he known it was coming.

...or maybe he just choked.
