Conine to be on Rome Is Burning

Featured Replies

I was flipping throgh the channels and I saw Niner. Good interview. I like Niner a lot better now, don't really know why. But, that interview really made me concerned about the problem of Dolphins Stadium and getting a new ballpark.

I miss his radio show. :confused

Started out talking about the difficulty of adjusting to life on the bench, Rome gave him some serious respect saying that Conine was the anchor of the team and the guy that a lot of players went to.

He liked this team, said that they were as good as the '97 or '03 team.

He said that Beckett/Willis/Burnett is the new version of Brown/Leiter/Fernandez, and that Moehler may be throwing better than any of them right now.

Said that the '97 team was like a family and that it hurt him to see them not get a chance to do it again in '98.

Really got down on the stadium situation saying that 2 titles in 8 years should get it done, that there are teams who have never won (or even been to a Series) thriving in new stadiums.

Good interview, and it seems that Rome and Conine are good friends because it was an intelligent interview on the part of Rome, he knew a lot of stuff about Conine that your typical ESPN talking head botches up...

Rome is such a tool

Rome is horrible. He is such an attention whore. If it wasnt for him calling Jim Everett, Chris Everett, he wouldnt have a career.

Like IowaMarlinFan said, "Jim Rome is such a turd"
