June 14, 200521 yr Hey, my dad is from Colebrook, New Hampshire. My stepdad is from Sunapee. Do you live in North Conway?
June 14, 200521 yr Author moneyball...in response to your earlier post about the recap from a kennett game...yes that was him...oh yeah...another reason why he should play for the marlins is that he can hit pretty damn well...and no im not from north conway, im from a small town in massachusetts called Upton...its right next to where they start the boston marathon in hopkinton...if you are from mass and reading this, you may remember that in 03, Upton was voted the most boring town in massachusetts...jeez...isnt it nice to be honored in such a way

Player of the Year: Kerr, Hanover. Coach of the Year: Mike Jackson, Hanover. I now play baseball at Keene State. Jeff is one of the most grounded, down to earth, talented athletes that I have ever met. I talked to him at the Tampa Bay tryout last year about the time we played him and gave him one one of his two loses during his high school career. He was extremely humble for a player of his stature. I just wanted to say keep up the good work and good luck with the Braves.
June 14, 200620 yr get him to sign with Quinnipiac for 4 years then go to the bigs...we can use a pitcher in our bid for NCAAs this year
June 15, 200620 yr so i guess it sucks that Mr. Locke got drafted in the second round by the Atlanta Braves...
June 15, 200620 yr Author so i guess it sucks that Mr. Locke got drafted in the second round by the Atlanta Braves... nah...sucks for the marlins...but good for him...hes my lil cuz man...and hes not a sh*thead...he earned it and has done everything the right way...atta boy Jeff :thumbup :notworthy
June 15, 200620 yr If he is that good, tell him to wait on his pro career and come play at Florida State for three years. Our staff needs all the help it can get. :thumbup better off going to Da U. Go to the College world series all the time, get to hang out on south beach, better education and almost everyone gets drafted high from there
June 15, 200620 yr Here's a link with a pic of him... His stats.... 10-0 record through 61 innings, 0.68 ERA, seven complete games, 116 strikeouts, 20 hits, 12 walks. Career record... He has a career record of 34-2 and his fastball has registered as fast as 95 mph. http://www.unionleader.com/article.aspx?he...93-62ca069f23a4
June 15, 200620 yr in case anybody wants to know, the florida marlins (finally) contacted my cousin Jeff Locke...he is 17(18 in november) and is a southpaw pitcher who can throw a 95 mph fastball, a change up that is about 15 mph less, and a nasty little slurve...other teams that have contacted him are the braves (sigh), the tigers, my hometown but very unlikable red sox, the blue jays and the los angeles angels of anaheim of california of the united states of the world of the universe and so on...so yeah...look out for my cousin...he lives in north conway new hampshire and hopefully within a few years we will get to see him in the teal and black in the new marlins stadium... Your "cuz" is obviously not letting you in on the loop; he was drafted with the 51st pick (second round) by the Atlanta Braves a whole week before you posted this.

Our staff needs all the help it can get. :thumbup I agree...tho not necessarily with the school (I'm a Gator Hater, BTW...went there for a sem but that's another story) He may get drafted, but it'll be a low round. HSers from New England (with maybe the exception of a Rocco Baldelli) play a shorter sked and aren't highly regarded. His best bet is to play college ball. If he is that good, Division I schools will be calling. If he plays at a FSU/UM type of school, he'll end up playing the equivalent of High A or AA minor league ball and will get picked higher than if he gets picked out of high school...thus muy mucho dinero. Plus. he'd get an education at the same time...
