June 16, 200521 yr There was a number of you who knocked on Drese saying he was a waste, yadda yadda yadda. If any Marlins' pitcher goes into LA this weekend and pitch a 8IP 2H 0R line I will buy you a cookie. 16 ground ball outs the man was on tonight.
June 16, 200521 yr Never doubted Drese himself, just feared he'd suffer through the same bad turf and infield defense that sent Zach Day to the minors and DL. We'll see when he makes a few starts at home. By that time old bittle knees Jose Vidro will have come off the DL.
June 16, 200521 yr Good performance but it's one start so it's too early to judge his performance yet. So far it looks like Nats made a solid move.

Astacio and Park are not Drysdale and Koufax by any stretch of the imagination. :mischief2
June 16, 200521 yr Judging a pitcher based on one good performance against a struggling offense is just lame.

He will have a horrible ERA soon.
June 29, 200521 yr Drese is 2-1 with a ~2.84 ERA. He is stinking it up in Washington. 830624 Put him in the Hall of Fame. We never see pitchers start hot and then cool off. :plain

July 3, 200521 yr Drese is horrible and Wash will lose almost every game in which he starts. 820376 Look at last night's box score, then.
