June 24, 200519 yr Or it could be like 2004 where everyone that we called up got destroyed. 823902 Who? Admin Sutton? I guess you mean Kensing and Aguila. Kensing was a desperate move, called back after his season had completed. Aguila had a promising tenure. If Willingham has a similar type experience as Aguila, he will have earned some respect from other GMs who were uneasy about trading for a 26yo minor leaguer whose wasn't getting much hype from his own organization. Best case scenario, Willingham provides a .950 OPS bat for a few years playable at a couple positions.

June 27, 200519 yr yeah capefish got OWNED!!! lolol, that was defintely kevin olsen that got nailed in the face Saturday, June 28 Updated: June 30, 12:30 PM ET Right-hander Olsen in good condition ESPN.com news services On Friday, Florida Marlins right-hander Kevin Olsen took a line drive to the back of the head that left him lying on the mound in front of a very quiet Fenway Park. On Saturday, Olsen was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a concussion and a laceration to his right ear. Olsen was released from Beth Israel Hospital on Saturday morning and is expected to fly back to Florida with the team after Sunday's game against the Boston Red Sox. In the seventh inning of Friday's game, won by the Red Sox, 25-8, Olsen was hit by a line drive off the bat of Todd Walker. "All I could see was some bleeding behind the ear," Marlins manager Jack McKeon said. Fenway grew quiet as Olsen lay on the mound for nine minutes. He was conscious but immobilized when he was carried off the field on a stretcher and taken to the hospital, which is just a few blocks from the ballpark. "It was tough to watch," Walker said. "I heard he was OK, but you hate to see that. You hate to see anybody get hurt accidentally. The game didn't seem so important after that." Olsen was kept overnight for observation, but his injuries were minor and a CAT scan was normal. Olsen has made four appearances for the Marlins this season, posting a 11.17 ERA without getting a decision. He allowed four runs and nine hits in three-plus innings Friday. To take his roster spot, the Marlins recalled right-hander Nate Bump from Triple-A Albuquerque. Bump, 26, was 6-5 with a 4.43 ERA in 15 starts for the Isotopes, allowing 89 hits in 85 1/3 innings. He has no major league experience, spending the previous three seasons with Double-A Portland. Information from The Associated Press and SportsTicker was used in this report. just change my avatar and call me capefish :thumbup OMG GO BRAVES!
June 27, 200519 yr Willy will need at bats to make any sort of splash. I don't see that happening unless Encarnacion is moved. I guess an injury could shuffle things around too. If Lowell were injured, Cabrera could be moved to the infield... 827741 :ban hey, we don't need to do any jinxing
