After 6 games against the same opponent you start to find their tendencies, which is why many games are so close. But i dont think anything can match the superbowl which is the most hyped and watched Tv/Sporting event of the year.

They all have their perks, especially and NHL game 7. However, as a football man, I have an absolute reverence for the Superbowl.

Superbowl.

superbowl.....one and done pwns all....

The superbowl is the most watched only beacuse it is a scam that is run by men, The biggest football game of the year and you can watch it with anyone you want and your girlfriend/wife wont care, you can also be Drunk of your a$$ and she still might not care. And the only way you get to stay over at your buddys for the whole game is beacuse she wants to see the comercials and the Halftime show.

The SuperBowl is so overrated, it's all a bunch of hype and marketing, nothing more, not to mention the SuperBowl has a horrible atmosphere since there are not even any real fans there, just a bunch of corporate sponsors and VIP's who aren't even into the game. The atmosphere at most SuperBowl's is like a regular season game in May against the Devil Rays at Tropicana Field.

The SuperBowl is all about hype, TV commercials, the halftime show, and advertising.

Game 7 is about the GAME being played on the field.

more people watched Yanks vs Sox 04' ALCS Game 7 than the superbowl...

No WS game 7 got more views than the SB.

Super Bowl=boring as crap unless you:

a) love one of the teams involved

b) hate one of the teams involved

or

c) have money on the game.

...

Ok, I think I'm going backwards here.

Super Bowl=fun.

Game 7. Anyone can win as it's been proven by splitting the first six games in the series, and there is home field advantage. I think the neutral aspect of the Super Bowl makes it lose luster compared to pure play on the field in the other championships. Crowds for the most part don't make a difference in the Super Bowl, while in Game 7 of a championship game the crowd is going to be loud, obnoxious, and crazy.

I think also the structure of the game slightly punishes it here. In a close baseball game, there are numerous changes gone through, every pitch is a chess match between hitter and pitcher, and tension overflows since there is time between pitches. In hockey and basketball, the attacks are back and forth almost equally on each side, adding extra drama as you have to play both superb offense and shut down defense. In football when it's a close game you'll often see a big time running down of the clock to get the time almost expired, and then a last second Red Zone stand. Don't get me wrong, those last stands are damn tension packed, however the drives themselves don't carry the overall tension value that the other sports can hold at all times until the offense crossesd the 50 yard line into enemy territory. In baseball and basketball, a long distance prayer can drop much more frequently than in football so you can pray for homer or a trey and they could drop in your favor much more easily than a hail mary can.
