Id rather sign Furcal than Gonzalez...Furcal is much better offensively, can steal bases, has a better arm, and is also great at defense.

but that's what he'll get. Gonz is at least as productive of a hitter as Orlando Cabrera, with maybe a better arm. Orlando's getting $32 mill in a 4-year deal with the Angels, $6 mill this year.

I don't agree that Willingham would put up better numbers than Hermida.

I love furcal. He is a defensive gem and his bat is more consistent (forget this year) than gonzolaz and could add speed to the bottom of the lineup. Furcal IS worth 6-7 mil a year.

Well, thats a good point. Thats probably what he will get. But I dont think the Marlins will offer him that much. I think they know better. Especially if Furcal is on the market (i dont know when he becomes a free agent or what his current contract looks like. i just love furcal) or any other established well hitting SS in the league.
