The kid is a flat out stud. He's hitting about .500 since being called up and has hit 2 bombs today.

I'm watching the game and that 2nd HR was absolutely nuts. It was a great pitch by Sunny Kim that was quite low and away but Francouer still got a hold of it somehow. At any rate, Hermida is supposedly better than this kid so I don't know why we don't call him up, but whatever, I'm not a Marlins official. Anyway, you gotta be impressed by what this kid has brought to the table.

 

That silent treatment in the dugout after the first HR was hilarious. He was high-fiving the wall and stuff. Good sense of humor.

As usual, the Braves know their talent and use home-grown products out of various schools in Georgia to build depth in their minor league system. This guy can possibly replace the void left by J.D. Drew. He is a sensational player that deserves alot of respect. Another steal for the Braves. I would watch this kid in the future. He is a solid player.

and Marlins 2nd round pick DH Kris Harvey(2nd in NCAA in HR last year) in the same line-up

The Braves show poise by working with home grown talents, it's amazing how their players just flourish when under their wing.

Hermida and Francoeur also played against each other in high school. They also have the exact same exact body type. Francoeur has a bit more power while Hermida has more plate selectivity (in fact, Francoeur has a strike zone like Vlad's) and baserunning skills.

 

Besides that, Hermida is like a left handed Francoeur.

 

I hope we clear way for Hermida soon. Hopefully before the trade deadline.
