August 7, 200322 yr I say Trevor Hoffman, traded to San Diego in 1993 for Gary Sheffield. He's turned out to be one of the best closers EVER.

August 7, 200322 yr looks like a 2 man race. Hoffman has the better impact numbers with his new team but you have to think, "what have you done for me lately" since he's been hurt. I took Livan b/c he's been a solid rotation guy ever since he left. Not stellar but definately solid. Ask again when Hoff has 50 saves next year.
