August 5, 200521 yr Looks like Olsen might not be a September callup or possible spot starter anymore. Get well soon, Scott. OLSEN HAS SETBACK After watching Scott Olsen test his sore elbow at the Marlins' minor-league complex in Jupiter this week, the team's medical staff has ordered the left-hander not to throw for at least three weeks, raising the possibility that his season could be over. Olsen was 1-1 with a 3.98 ERA in five games for the Marlins before being replaced on the roster by Ismael Valdez on July 22. And because of elbow inflammation, he has not pitched since. In other pitching news, Chris Volstad, the Marlins' top pick in June's amateur draft, was promoted from the Gulf Coast League to Jamestown (N.Y.) of the New York-Penn League last week. He gave up just one earned run on four hits in his six innings in his first start there. http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/sports/12307400.htm
