Tonight's Start Time

Featured Replies

Not that it's a big deal, but I was just wondering if anyone knew why tonight's game starts at 7 instead of the normal Saturday 6:00 start time?

And for those who weren't aware, tonight's game starts at 7 instead of the normal Saturday 6:00 start time :p

I heard one of the announcers say that "As part of Back to School Weekend" the game time had been moved". Why the change from 6 to 7 on a Saturday has any relevance to back to school I can't tell you.

I noticed that as well earlier today. The game isn't nationally televised, so who knows why they moved it?

Ya I just noticed that this morning. Good thing because I would have ended up showing up an hour early.

Anyone been to Conine's yet? I was thinking about checking it out after the game.

good.. now it won't be blacked out on MLB.tv

Yeah. The Marlins need to stop trying to be special and start their saturday games at 7:05 or 7:10 like everyone else.

At least the fans will get to the game on time. The 6 o'clock games normally don't get "filled up" until 7 o'clock. I use the term "filled up" in relative terms.

They'll be close to 30,000 tonight I bet. That, for this market, is a full house. If our field wasn't in a huge football stadium it would be a packed house.

If the Yankees played in the Rose Bowl it wouldn't look so "filled up" either.

The Yankees would probably fill up the Rose Bowl too, lol.

Next time I'll throw the winning lotto numbers in there too. :D

Our season tickets had 6:00 start time on there, so its a good thing that the annoncers had mentioned it during the week. Maybe the FO should think of moving all Saturday games to 7 because there was a real nice crowd there tonight it was something like 30,800.
