Anti_virus Software

Featured Replies

The anti-virus software I had on my computer was causing it to freeze all the time, so I got rid of it. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good anti-virus software, preferrable reasonably priced. I had Norton in the past when it was $30/year, now its $50/year.

Get Microsoft Anti-Spyware...Even though it's called a "spyware" preventer, I havn't had any virus' since I got it, when I used to get them alot. Norton didn't work well for me and took too long to scan...

For anti-virus, Norton is the only way to go.

I'd re-op, despite the cost. I believe you can also renew your subscription at a substantially reduced cost- not the $50 you think it is- it's something like $30 or $20.

For Anti-spyware- I had downloaded Microsoft Beta anti spyware a while ago and Consumer Reports rated it the highest in it's category, and it's free. I also have Yahoo toolbar, which comes with Yahoo anti spyware. I ran into a problem a few months ago, ran the Yahoo a few times and I was up and running.

I have eTrust EZ antitrust. The first year is free. It's worked nicely on my computer.

I like Norton but it was terrible for me at least for catching spyware.

I just downloaded the free Spyware search & destroy for free. Really nice.
