Posted September 1, 200519 yr I just want to make a plea to the Marlin Nation. We have to show up this weekend for the Mets series. Joe Robbie is going to be Shea South with the Mets in the wild card race. Last time they were in town, Marlins fans were close to being outnumbered. We can't let our guys get jeered on their home turf.
September 1, 200519 yr I will probably go to a game this series. Not sure which one Met Fans in South Fla= Snow birds who cant find their way back home
September 1, 200519 yr I'm looking forward to spreading the Marlins cheer when the Fish roll into Shea in a couple of weeks
September 1, 200519 yr the reason it was south shea was because people were there to see teh mets and it was a weeknight. since its a weekend there will be many more marlins fans than mets fans. watch, i'd say 27 tomrorow, 38 saturday and 33 sunday.

September 1, 200519 yr JonDigital I LOVE your Siggy :thumbup 925561[/snapback] Hey thanks you! Just curious has MB.com ever had a meet up at the stadium or purchased group ticket packages for everyone to meet each other? I think it would be cool to have a pre game tail gate for peeps to chill and get to meet up. Just a goofy idea on my part. Im sure it has been done

But alot of people have season tickets here and it would be kinda hard to get many people to sit in a certain area. There is one thing that might work is that we all could meet up before the game (In the stadium or outside of the stadium :confused

September 1, 200519 yr This is going to be a tough weekend for walkup. Not many tickets as is because of the playoff race, then couple in the fact that gas might very well be 60 cents more for regular than it was a week ago (rumors are swirling it'll be bumped up to $3.29 very soon), and the horrendous weather that might be coming our way could be really bad for attendance. But it is the pennant chase on a weekend against a team from New York, so you never know.
September 1, 200519 yr Watching this Dolphins game, I can tell you that the field is going to be in really crappy shape.
September 2, 200519 yr Juanky raises a very good point about the gas crisis. Unfortunately, with all the public officials now urging consumers to conserve fuel and constant warnings of possible shortages, I estimate that a lot of fans outside of Miami will reluctantly decide to stay home. I already know of a couple of folks here in Palm Beach who've already scrapped their plans to travel during this Labor Day weekend. I predict many in the hospitality business will be adversely affected because of this crisis -- including the Marlins.
