August 14, 200323 yr i like the way its going now with Uggy and than Loop so if i were in charge when spooney comes back i'll put him 1rst in the 7th so i chose the 1rst answer
August 14, 200323 yr If starters keep pitching how they are i dont see Spoony pitching 7th.. i'll only see him pitching when Loop or Uggy is tired.. but if not than it would be Spoony , Uggy , and Looper aka Game Over
August 14, 200323 yr you cant forget about bump he's been beter so far then spooney ever was That's correct. He's 4-0 now and has never had a bad game that I can remember! Dont you remember that Boston game?

August 14, 200323 yr Yeah, I think we all remember the Boston game (I was there)....he'd just flown into Boston from New Orleans (I think)...the place was packed with screaming Boston fans AND it was his major league debut. Any idiot could tell he was nervous, being his first time out there and all BUT he pitched two more innings without giving up another run AND we were able to come back and win. I give him credit for not folding under the circumstances. As McKeon said...he was thrown right into the fire. He does seem to be the forgotten reliever. Even Len Kasper is always saying, "By the way, Nate Bump..... The Penn State guy has done pretty damn good!!
August 14, 200323 yr arnie...tejera? We've been lucky he hasnt had a crap inning...but in my mind, its bound to happen soon. I chose other... Bump has looked a lot better than Spooney has this season...not to say Spooney cant be good...but Spooney can rotate in with the 7-8-9 spots...since Bump-Urbina-Looper dont pitch that way every game. Bump's era: 2.75 i believe. Spooney's is over 4 something.
August 14, 200323 yr you guys now just want to forget about bump. at one time spooney era was down in the 2's. and at one time it was in the 6's. and now its just above 4. what does that show you? inconsistency dont get me wrong i love spooney but you cant just forget what nates done. my 7th,8th, and 9th inning trio = Bump, Urbina, Looper lets not all bash uggy becuase he screwed up tonite but any reliever is bound to fold every once in a while.
August 14, 200323 yr what about Chad Fox? i know he hasn't been here long but he looks like he has good stuff :thumbup
August 14, 200323 yr he's pitched 2 innings. Im not sayin the guy sucks..but Almanza looked good after his first 2 IP of the season too.
August 14, 200323 yr at this point, Spooney wont even be on the postseason roster will he? i like this.... 7th: Bump/Fox/Tejera 8th:Uggy 9th: Looper game over
August 14, 200323 yr He needs to be back in a hurry, if not he wont be. What is the rule on guys coming off the DL? I'm pretty sure I've seen guys come off the DL in September and be allowed into the playoffs. I don't remember who it was, but I remember a couple years ago someone coming off the DL the day before the playoffs started (after the regular season ended) and he played.
August 14, 200323 yr i'm sure they could take him off the DL (instead of extending his DL time) and let him sit on the bench till he feels ok. I dont know...that may sound really really dumb. Correct me please if there is something against the rules with that.
August 14, 200323 yr Spooney, Urbina and Looper! Thats a dominate 3. We would be good as a bullpen if we use those....
August 14, 200323 yr wow we got tejera, fox, bump, spooney(when he comes back),urbina, looper! Don't forget Almanza.
August 14, 200323 yr There are some loopholes teams have found to get around the rules after the September expanded rosters are supposed to be set. Berardino mentioned on the radio yesterday that last year, Francisco Rodriguez, "F-Rod", was not on the Angels original expanded September roster. They used a guy on the DL and swapped him for Rodriguez or something later on. Anyway, bottom line is if they need Spooney, they can work it out.
August 14, 200323 yr Don't forget Almanza. I didn't put him im waiting for him to get better so until then he ain't gonna be there.
