September 18, 200520 yr (ban guns) Good luck with that one. For the record, I'm for the legalization of it. I don't do it and don't care to, but I know that by legalizing it and setting up a structure for usage and purchases it would be extremely beneficial in several aspects of life to the American people.
September 20, 200520 yr Legalize marijuana and defintely dont tax or regulate it. Why should we? I agree with buckeye, let people make their own decisions, it is not the role of govt to protect people from themselves. It is partially their job to protect people from each other. All drugs should be legal. This eliminates the criminal element involved, the risk of using diluted drugs, and HIV spread through use of needles. Private businesses and such can regulat eit, for example a business wont hire a drug user. They have the right to do that type of thing. Of course many people wont control themselves and will have problems bc of drugs. Thats why you open up more rehab clinics (privately). In fact insurance companies can chose to include drug rehab as part of their coverage if theyd like. Freedom, what a wonderful thing. Now excuse me as I light this spliff.

Plus many, many more opportunities to save money.

Opens up more space for murderers and rapists. I hard a story once about mandatory sentencing for cocaine. Some woman with a small quantity for her own use for an extended sentence and then another guy who sells drugs got a short sentence b/c he turned in a bigger fish. Thats not fair b/c i would argue that the woman is not a danger to society
September 21, 200520 yr Exackly. Dap to Sandroimbuto and Cangelosi for your wisdom. I've been foggy and kind of down and out. But, seeing this kind of response leads me to believe that not everyone believes people on drugs are criminals. They're SICK. They need help. Jail has never cured anyone of anything.
