September 19, 200520 yr that was a helluva swing, reminded me of vintage lowell. hopefulyl hes back, it would be HUGE if he could get hot in the next 2 weeks and help carry this team. doubt it though.
September 19, 200520 yr Great AB on the walk, and great HR (the Mikey of old). But to say he's back is a bit premature- we've said this six other times this year, on each of his other home runs.

I saw him hit a screamer to Rollins and a fly ball to center field, and all of those sounded really well off the bat. They were for outs, but nevertheless, good swings.
September 19, 200520 yr When did Mike have that one month when he hit over .300? June? It's not important which month it was (I'm sure someone will tell me though), but during that time I noticed a more pronounced crouch in his batting stance. Tonight I commented to my dad during his first at bat, that he was crouching more in his stance, and I wouldn't be surprised if he hit the ball well. Well lo and behold, he screams the ball almost every time he comes up to bat, and has that unbelievable 12 pitch AB. I really think he sees the ball better when he does that. I'm interested to know whether anybody else noticed this association.
