please please please tell us Mikey is back

oh man that would be huge

nice shot

And let's not forget his clutch walk that led to the big lead in the first place. Give him credit for tonight

Doubtful, but you never know. He swing looked bad in the previous 4 ABs. Let me see another 10 good ABs in a row and then perhaps I'll have some faith in him.

It was a meaningless HR as most of his hits have been.

But nevertheless it was nice to see Mikey get into one and nice to see the smile on his face.

If this HR sparks somethin in Lowell that would be great.

that was a helluva swing, reminded me of vintage lowell. hopefulyl hes back, it would be HUGE if he could get hot in the next 2 weeks and help carry this team. doubt it though.

There isn't really room for him in the lineup...

He actually got around on an inside fastball...who knew

Great AB on the walk, and great HR (the Mikey of old). But to say he's back is a bit premature- we've said this six other times this year, on each of his other home runs.

I knew you'd call me on that one.....regardless, one of these "types" of threads always pops up after a Mikey homer. That better? :cool

Bad swings? I saw him hit a screamer to Rollins and a fly ball to center field, and all of those sounded really well off the bat. They were for outs, but nevertheless, good swings.

When did Mike have that one month when he hit over .300? June? It's not important which month it was (I'm sure someone will tell me though), but during that time I noticed a more pronounced crouch in his batting stance. Tonight I commented to my dad during his first at bat, that he was crouching more in his stance, and I wouldn't be surprised if he hit the ball well. Well lo and behold, he screams the ball almost every time he comes up to bat, and has that unbelievable 12 pitch AB. I really think he sees the ball better when he does that. I'm interested to know whether anybody else noticed this association.
