October 15, 200521 yr Author Gainesville is a college town. Pittsburgh is a city. They are not comparable. I prefer cities to college towns, but I'm gonna end up in Gainesville. I've already decided I'm going somemore way cooler for grad school, hopefully UC Berkely.
October 15, 200521 yr I prefer cities to college towns. If I had my way, I'd be going to grad school at DePaul in Chicago. But, it's just soooo damn expensive. Granted, if the city is Pittsburgh, you're right. College town>Pittsburgh. Actually, let me rephrase that: Any town>Pittsburgh. I am not a fan of that place. At awl.
October 15, 200521 yr Well Im probably biased because A&M is basically College Station. I just like having things centered around the school and such.

And no place in this world is a fan of you.
October 15, 200521 yr Chewie, come to William and Mary! A threesome? Kinky. 4some... dont forget about dodge.
October 16, 200521 yr If you ignore the hills, Pittsburgh kicks ass. Aside from winter driving issues, I think the hills are great.
October 16, 200521 yr If you want a good college town with all the bars and clubs within walking distance of your: dorm/apartment/trailor, classrooms, campus bookstores, Southern Illinois University-Carbondale is the place to go. Good law and biology programs.
October 17, 200521 yr I am sure that if you really begged your parents you could go there. See what you can do about financial help. Its worth it just for the fact its not a state school and thus, smaller. And besides, Pittsburgh is a lot better than Gainesville. Actually, you're right and wrong. Pitt is still considered a private school, but since 1967, it has been "state-supported", essentially meaning that the Commonwealth took it over. So for all other purposes, Pitt is a state school.
